more of the same really, but just in case…

i dig all the stuff about how al’s gonna pay the artists on his label, and the implication that wax trax was cool and he was there. if wax trax was such a great business model way back when, why’d he leave first chance he had?
oh yeah.
he was busy getting high and needed a fat advance.
well, then who “ran” the label as he so often claims he did?
and the ian mackaye story. i guess al forgets that he was living in london with paul and bill. small detail, i suppose.
i’d be curious to know if anybody’s contacted ian mackaye to ask him about a new pailhead record.
dischord is an email away.

so what kind of questions do you wish an interviewer these days should ask Al?

I just wish all the problems would go away and there would be good music again. I feel like a kid in the middle of a divorce or something.

HAH!!!

That made my day.

Yeah, this divorce happened 5 years ago. It’s probably time to move on.
Just remember, it’s not your fault that mommy and daddy don’t love each other anymore.

I never respect anyone I don’t know personally. I do however, at times, respect their talent. Saves me on the heartache.

interviewers should ask al what he actually did for wax trax, that jim and dannie didn’t do on their own.
that would be a good one.
give credit where credit is due.
maybe you guys think i’m just complaining about ancient history. no, i believe in keeping the facts straight.i suggest for anyone here to call /email dischord and find some answers for yourselves.

In case you felt like throwing up: The Ministry Post-Break-up Soap Opera

And it was more of a shock when we walked on stage in this 1,700-seat auditorium, and we had 37 people

LOL!!!
If I were a Professional Entertainer I would NEVER admit that!!!

Christ - Pitchfork has gone soft.

If only Tim Russert could have interviewed, Al…

That bastard got off on asking tough questions.

Dude Was too conservative for me. He would hold these mofo’s to the hotseat for an .8 of a second watch them squirm for a .6 of a second. let them off without answering the question and then lob a whole bunch of softballs out there for them. He was left of Novak, Hannity, O’Rielly, and Limbaugh (although that’s not hard to do) but still on the right and still no where near the center.

What about you save us the hassle and email them yourself then post here what reply you get?

i do my job here.
no more no less.

FRom now on, I’m referring to Obama as “Undercover Brother.”

Hmmm…“revisionism”-that’s the name of the game, in this interview he sticks up for “intermediate” artists (has beens?) and slams radiohead for having “yachts” and “mansions”,

Gee, I know a certain someone who used to have a mansion and several sports cars-his name escapes me right now…

I personally commend Radiohead and Trent reznor, first and foremost because I truly believe their music remains unique, and if they can afford to give it away, then good for them

and yes, the interview kind of pissed me off

I just read that someone very special is shaving off those dreads and joining BLUE MAN GROUP!!!

connelly, is it you with the shave job? sweet.
oh wait. you’re buzzcut now. hmm…

why not? those guys are established. it would be a new colloraborative effort. i think chris is not kidding this time.
wink.

I would pay good money to see either Al or Chris in the Blue Man Group.

That’s laughable. No way. The Blue Man would just be hired help.

Of course it’s laughable.
Why do you think I want to see it?

No-it’s legit as far as I can tell, it was an article in an online personal training site called “futurefit” or something- some “star trainer” has the ex-dreadlocked one as a client and hooked him up with the Blue men, which is a sort of franchise, so he could be in Vegas, NYC, Chicago or Boston, and move around (the blue men are interchangeable) anyway, he says it starts in the fall
