yep. i think it was five or six seasons long. there’s an interview on this site where al takes delight in being in that episode, actually.
Yeah, the 5th season was the last, and not many people were watching at that point. The amazing thing about the DVDs is that they were able to license all of the original songs for all five seasons. Once in a while, some really good bands surfaced on those shows - Shriekback, Propaganda, Dead Can Dance, PIL, Yello, Tackhead, Eno, Fields of The Nephilim, The Damned, Depeche, The Cure…a bunch more I’m sure.

What is Miami Vice like anyway? I’ve seen parodies, but being an aussie without pay tv I’ve never seen it. for those who don’t know, Australia has 5 “free to air” tv channels, 6 if you include the community channel, a few more starting up on DTV. I think pay tv might go up to 20… maybe more.
The only reason I mentioned it is my dad just came back from the USA and said non-cable tv is like 100 channels, is that right?
“Standard” Cable TV (the cheapest of the lot) will get you 50 - 80 channels, depending on your location. That doesn’t include any “specialty” channels, like HBO or whatever.
Regular television, from an aerial antennae, is still just your standard network fare…maybe five or six channels? Not much more than that.
