That’s too bad, Eureka! It would have been cool to have you in our crew.
I don’t even really think of the Ministry shows as much of a concert anymore, but more like a party/ reunion. There’s people that I bump into from past shows other places and I just like the socializing and getting rowdy. As for the show . . . . yeah, been there, done that. Same set list for the last 8 years. It ain’t exactly going to surprise you.
yeah i liked that ghouldiggers was extended from the album version
khyber pass had updated lyrics, as it well should!
also i just listened to the studio version of S.O.D. “United Forces” and the relapse cover i am even more pissed it was cut from the set. GD that would be awesome to hear ministry play live
Huh, that’s different. They easily could have taken the chance to include the new lyrics on the Best of Fixes and Remixes CD that just came out, but instead they took the lazy route and gave us the “2010 version” again.
Not that I’d really want to own it with the new lyrics. I miss when Ministry lyrics were about crazy conspiracy theories, not simply believing that bin Laden is dead because the president said so.
the crew chillin’ while waiting for the show to start
don’t know who the clown is in the back who jumped in the shot or the bunny ears that ended up on gunnar
but from left to right you got Prototype SKB, his friend sporting his metal face that was too extreme to be photographed (although he looks a little like the chatterer cenobyte from hellraiser in this pic) Proto’s lovely girly,Gunnar, and Error 404
what a beautiful group you guys are!!!
then here’s Myself Gunnar and error 404
Gunnar’s an artist with these self portrait shots.
Late,

I didn’t find out about this until this minute, but evidently they’re playing NYC tonight at 8. My lil sister is in town, a metalhead herself, and I actually thought about pulling the trigger on some tickets…
Then I saw the prices. SEVENTY DOLLARS A TICKET – NO…FUCKING…WAY ever would I pay that. Thirty a head seems more reasonable at this point, considering their label and studio is operating out of some bunker in Texas…
Why such high rates? Is it because it’s a mini tour with “select dates”? Billy Corgan got away with that shit a few years ago but my god…

this is what put me off in the first place. the further “ministry” is getting from their quality music, the higher their prices are going. i guess the chicago show has some 40 dollar tix available now, but after seeing the setlist, i stopped caring again.
I bought a $45 floor GA ticket.
There was also some $75 or something.
And balcony, I guess, was as low as $25, apparently.
And of course there were the poor saps that bought the $500 VIP Platinum experience.
Here’s the rub, though (for the Nokia) . . . .
It’s ALL the same.
They just pass out wristbands to the first however many couple hundred people or so and they get the pit access (a fairly large floor). I had pit, Grumpy had pit, everyone I met got a bracelet (tip of the hat to Prototype for letting me know). And we were all able to watch the show from the same exact spot (if we so chose) as the $500 VIP guest.
What did “that guy” get? A souvenir lanyard and a couple Ministry drinking glasses.
Add that up, and the fact that there is NO guarantee you would even meet the band…pretty foul
To say the least!!!
they could have at least given them on the stage but off to the side access but they didn’t, those greedy fucks.
The show was not bad if you have some peeps to talk shit with and you can get in for right around 40 bucks. It was definitely a fun night out.
somebody mentioned earlier this was a short tour. I didn’t know this was a mini tour. thought they were going across the whole country. Oh well, if you don’t see 'em you can catch them next mini tour.
On the way home gunnar and I were trying to figure out what had happened with Al. He’s lost his charisma there’s certainly no charm there anymore. It can’t be just from aging.
I think I hit on it just now… back then Al didn’t care if you liked his music 'cause he was having fun. Now Al doesn’t care if you don’t like his music cause he’s at work. Works a drag and fun is fun. And while I do like most of the Bush trilogy, It’s not “fun” or even edgy it’s just slick riffs (sometimes) and catchy choruses, and I distinguish, just cause something is catchy doesn’t mean it’s fun.
I think Al feels like hes trapped in hell. this is what he has to do and he doesn’t want to do it anymore. Just like some fucker at a dead end job Al feels like he can’t do anything else and make a living off of it.
If sobriety is so great for him (and I mean no drugs) How comes he seems so unhappy?
