Ministry: From Beer To Eternity. New album

I had no idea who Mancow was because I almost never listen to radio or even podcasts. After reading his wiki he seems like an idiot and I have no idea what Al was thinking going on his show. I suppose it’s safe to assume that Al wasn’t thinking. That’s what it seemed like during the interview at least.

OR
Because Mancow is republican He holds Al up to his audience as what the average liberal sounds like…

And if that is the case… fucking hell, did Al reaffirm any negative beliefs they had about liberals. Goddamn it.

So how was the 10 seconds of new Ministry?

The sample is horribly wrecked in context.
It’s a terrible representation of the song, and if the point of Al going on the show was to debut the songs (I don’t know if perhaps there was a point where they actually played the full track) it failed miserably from the clip I heard.

It is an interesting clip which I’ve seen a few times.
He is obviously shaken by the experience and is very forthright with his impression.

It actually makes me uncomfortable to watch it on repeated views (the first time I didn’t know what was going on and just thought it was kind of funny).

Hahaha, fucking retards. That looked so ridiculous.

This is how it’s done and looks way more terrifying (it’s not graphic or anything):

Hitchens was the man. He goes into a great explanation of what it was like being waterboarded and why it actually is torture and why it doesn’t actually work. Also explains that that brief moment in time had a lasting negative effect on him. Like some form of anxiety. Pretty interesting.

I think I’d rather be waterboarded than hear that wretched music they were playing.

Haha, seriously. That was so bizarre. I would imagine they’d pull some weird shit like that though.

It’s like the scene from the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo where Martin has Mikael tied up in his creepy torture/murder chamber and puts on “Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)” by Enya. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjyOxN8OJ3I

That part was kind of a head scratcher for me too. Mancow’s been around a while, right? I can only guess that he’s always been supportive of Ministry’s music and Al has an appreciation and kinship on that level. But that’s just speculation.

Yeah, it’s probably a Chicago thing. He’s been around since the early '90s so he’s probably supported Ministry as a hometown Chicago band. (Despite the politics)

Maybe he’s got respect for him getting water boarded. Mancow and Sean Hannity are BFFs. Sean Hannity and he used to scream at the top of their lungs that water boarding wasn’t torture when Bush and Co were doing it to everyone. Mancow sacked up and let himself be water boarded. He made it all of 1/2 second. and said “I was wrong this is torture.” Hannity will not let himself be water boarded and still stands by his assertion that water boarding is not torture and that Mancow doesn’t know what he’s talking about…

Yeah, I give him credit for not only doing it, but also admitting that he was wrong. Sincerely. Hannity would never do that.

Still though. . .he’s a douche and I do find the clip quite humorous.

I do as well. I’ve never heard his show. (still haven’t listened to the Al interview) but he’s got to not be completely stupid if he was able to break from message and think for himself.

Sincerely. Hannity would never do that.

Oh hell no, he’d fuck up his hair, and Maybe learn something… (doubtful of this though, he doesn’t want to know, he just wants to stick message.)

Still though. . .he’s a douche and I do find the clip quite humorous.

I Just give him big ups for being honest. Which means his politics are probably based on lack of understanding/education and not wilful deceit. Like I believe Hannity and the rest of the Fox and AM radio crew operate

thanks for the mp3. wow, he really does sound fucked…i didn’t think it would be that bad. the people around him let him go on like that?! for shame.

When Mancow came to Chicago in 1994, I was already older than the people who are on the, let’s say, most mature end of his demographics. I’ve never in the 40+ years I’ve lived in Chicago…heard his show.

I would assume that most of Al’s peers don’t listen to Mancow, so it’s difficult to image why he’d even bother with the interview in the first place.

Hmm interesting…is track 11 a cover of Depeche Mode? Must be…ughh I can’t imagine it not being awful but I’m praying…

TV4 is sure to be good as “WTV” did not disappoint…none of the songs in that series did really…but the title about Mikey is just corny.

This track list is likely to be fake, the more I view it. I don’t see Al doing a track spelling it “Thanx”…

I mean the real track listing will probably be just as retarded but this smells fishy to me…

No, that track list is real.

I actually posted an article that had it a number of pages back.

Edit:

See page 10 of this thread.

just type’d it the way i seen it…

Here. I fiXXXed it for you.

“ThanXXX but No ThanXXX”

I don’t see Al doing a track spelling it “Thanx”

after so many “mixxxes” albums, it’s time to fuck up the track titles too.

and why not! i mean, he actually called a track “Cuz U R Next” (which sounds like a clone of Let’s Go from The Last Sucker and could actually be on that album anyway, but for some reason it wasn’t).

edit: shit, Gunnar beat me about the “x”/“xxx” thing

I like “Cuz U R Next,” even if it is a clone of “The Last Sucker”.
It’s fun to sing in Rock Band, too.

lol i was going to comment on how stupid it was :P.

My immediate thought when I saw it, “Heineken? Fuck that shit!”. Back on topic. I’m kinda scared to even wonder what Al’s going to do to Enjoy The Silence…

I don’t know. But I’m guessing y’all will enjoy it more if he’d just STAY silent.
