I remember reading something about this awhile ago. I don’t think Al really directed it.
I’d like to believe so. Although it’s strange that Thirteenth Planet haven’t been bangin on about it and promoting it to the full?
I’m hoping it’ll be an indepth doco with loads of shit-hot footage and interviews etc etc. I hope the actual doco film is quality stuff too…

I have been amazed that something like this hasn’t been made sooner. The stories that have circulated and come to light in Connelly’s book would have made an amazing movie.
Just look at how big GG Allin’s “Hated” was. Al could have easily done something similar. The problem was that Al, in his own words was a Drug User, Not Abuser. Looking back, he probably knew that wasn’t true and history has of course validated that.
Even Navarro, in his interview of Al admitted that when he himself was addicted to Heroin, he told himself that he wasn’t as fucked up as Al.

Doubtful. I don’t think Barker’s going to have anything to do with Al, period, even documentaries released on Al’s label. Doubt Connelly will have a part in it as well, especially since he went into good detail about it in his book. Maybe Saccia? Maybe not? Maybe we’ll hear from at least SOME people in the past at least. It’d be weird otherwise.
But this has some potential to be an interesting watch though. But of course, it has to be done right.

The film starts with the Let’s Go song…it says Al kicks ass, followed by Trent and Tool dude saying Al kicks ass…then roll credits with Last Sucker song.

It is supposed to be a doc about Al’s drug use, right? I’m interested to see and hear his side of it, but I have a feeling it’s going to be very one-sided, and anyone who speaks will also be very one-sided. If Trent is actually on there, he might actually shoot the shit like he has with everyone else lately, which could be interesting. But I just can’t imagine a documentary about his drug abuse being so long. They must be dragging this out. And knowing 13th planet, they’ll probably not support this until right before the thing comes out, like they’re doing with the remix albums, especially last dubber (two years!).
