ministry all over blabbermouth....

Regency here i come…

What in the name of all names that could be named with simple naming are you even babbling about?

Seriously! Can you PLEASE try to make a post that has some sort of meaningful content so we don’t have to run it through the Batcomputer to try and find clues?

If by “all over” you mean one post then yeah it’s all over blabbermouth…

The news is that the new Ministry band is basically 2 incarnations of Prong mixed together, with Sin and Al. Every person in the band played with Prong apart from those two;

"Industrial metal pioneers MINISTRY have confirmed their touring lineup for next year. Joining mainman Al Jourgensen in the band’s latest incarnation will be guitarists Monte Pittman (PRONG, MADONNA) and Sin Quirin, bassist Tony Campos (SOULFLY, STATIC-X), drummer Aaron Rossi and keyboardist John Bechdel.

In an interview with “The Classic Metal Show” earlier in the year, PRONG mainman Tommy Victor, who has played extensively with the Jourgensen-led combo in the past, spoke about how Al’s well-documented alcohol and drug use has impeded the MINISTRY leader’s ability to perform onstage and the negative impact it might have had on other bandmembers, including guitarist Mike Scaccia and bassist Paul Raven, who both passed away in recent years.

“Yeah, it’s a hard situation to be in,” Victor said. “When I got in there, I was running five miles a day, I was clean and sober. And then, the environment around there… by the time I got out of a couple of tours, I was smoking and drinking again. That’s the decision I made. In order to fit in, you know, you’ve gotta do certain things. However, a guy like Sin Quirin, he was able to work with Al and keep his own identity, and I’ve gotta give him a lot of kudos for that, and Al respected him for that. So you can get caught up, or you don’t get caught up, and that’s the decision you make.”

He continued: “You can’t blame Al for Mike’s and Raven’s departure from this realm, really. Everyone’s got their own personal decision to make, and choose their own lifestyle. So you can’t blame anybody else.”

Asked if it is solely the environment that has fueled destructive behavior in MINISTRY or if it has anything to do with the creative process within the band, Victor said: “No. I think that any kind of substance abuse and that whole thing delays and clouds the project. And I hope Al can get to that point right now. But he’s always relied on that in order to believe that he’s creative on the whole thing. Hopefully, when he pulls out of whatever he’s going through, he can realize… Maybe he can come back and start being just a vehicle for what’s out there in the universe and able to put a true record together rather than all these interferences from the attachment to whatever he thinks is going to enable his creativity. Which, I just think it’s a false mentality.”

MINISTRY’s 13th studio album, “From Beer To Eternity”, was released in September 2013 via 13th Planet Records.

MINISTRY 2015 is:

Al Jourgensen - Vocals
Monte Pittman (PRONG, MADONNA) - Guitar
Sin Quirin - Guitar
Tony Campos (SOULFLY, STATIC-X) - Bass
Aaron Rossi - Drums
John Bechdel - Keyboards"

Gunnar, cut him some slack, his communication skill actually isn’t all that bad for a neon sign advertising a pot dispensary’s business hours.

The last time I tried to converse with one of those, it couldn’t get far beyond “ME NEON SIGN!!! LIGHT UP STORE!!! PLASMA GOOD!!!” etc. etc.

Tony Campos was also in Prong.

Damn Tommy Victor’s comments there are really fucking spot on!

I was actually quite impressed with him in this interview. He seems pretty straight-forward and honest. I bust his balls relentlessly and despise his style, but this kind of put a new light on things for me.

And I have a new respect for Sin if he’s actually been keeping himself clean AND Al’s not treating him like a pariah for doing it.

Sin does not do any drugs, drinking, smoking . . . anything. He never has. It’s also cool that he has no problem being around it and he never makes any issue of it.

You know something, i never even read the article before i posted it here, hahaha, i just noticed your comment and was amazed that you were saying something positive(ish) about Tommy so i had to scroll up to see where it was coming from [;)] Sounds like he’s not quite as pissed off at Al as he was a couple of years back. He’s got a good band this time round anyway, i’ll be looking forward to this 3rd “final tour”!

I felt kind of dirty writing it.

We all know you’re a very dirty boy who needs to be disciplined. Ooooooh!

Maybe he can come back and start being just a vehicle for what’s out there in the universe…

Oh, please! [rolleyes]

fuck, I drop by here for the first time in ages and I see all this stuff about Tommy Victor…

sorry for being a fucking recluse, but life is seriously fucking busy. in between interviewing bands and reviewing shows, been working my arse off on classical piano, recording albums, doing shows, working on a novel, etc etc etc. no rest for the wicked, as they say…

anyway,
posting coz i interviewed Mr Victor and it might be of interest to y’all

And Burton C Bell might be vaguely interesting…
http://amhnetwork.com/interview-burton-c-bell-fear-factory/

long story short:
both were stand up gentlemen.
al’s a bit of a dick- victor actually went into more detail, but i had to work with a word limit and focus on prong’s tour. al hasn’t paid him a red cent, but calls him from time to time wanting to catch up. victor still admits that al’s pretty awesome to hang out with, but the $$$ was the main issue.

I love Burton. Such an awesome guy.
I wish he had music that I actually liked so I could be a fan of that as well, but Fear Factory does nothing for me.

But I love the dude. Terrific down-to-earth mofo.

Man, their first album was the perfect balance of death and industrial. Seriously… check it

I’ve read other interviews with people taking about not getting paid. Maybe it’s Al’s fault, but I would think this is his management’s lack of integrity. I have no idea who’s handling his business affairs now, but for the previous 12 years wasn’t Angie handling all this?

Management = his wife

And behind every great man is a greater woman so they say.

And there’s multiple people who have not been paid.
Either monetarily or in publishing credits.

Sounds like enough people have burned for a class action suit!

Really? I don’t think anyone other than Grumpy bought those Christmas singles. He might be on his own.
