Mike Scaccia - Roland Cube Amp Promo

Mikey was out here a few weeks ago to meet with the Roland guys and they made this piece to promote their amps.

Only a fuckin pro can make a solid state amp sound so perfect.

I bet he pulled all of that sweet beautiful noise (minus the country) out of his ass on the spot! expert bastard!!

It’s true. They didn’t rehearse or prewrite anything. They basically just had him play for a while as they’d say, "Now do a blues lick . . . play some rock . . . use the loop . . . ".

Personally, I wish he’d put out a blues album.

based On what I heard… I would swoop that up!

Cool video. That being said, I’m not a fan of Roland Cubes at all. That’s vid’s sort of misleading, coz he makes it sound too awesome! Except the metal rhythm tone… even with Mikey playing, doesn’t sit well [:/].

Their old Jazz amps are fucking amazing, though. Best solid state you can get. I was constantly trying to blow up the one my school used to own and never succeeded. They were fucking built to last.

Coincidentally, my mate Skitz did something for a Roland V-Drum’s competition; 'tis pretty brutal; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl9i4jTcSvE&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Imagine that sort of drumming being played along to this Chopin Sonata; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYG-Q-TlC8E

And that’s pretty much all we’ve been doing with ourselves for the last few months.
