MIKE SCACCIA is selling his "White Rhino" and "Blood Rhino"

OK, then, here’s the deal. Mikey is in a bad spot right now. When I gave a note for the last one he was trying to raise up some money to get to Dallas to be with his Mom so he could care for her as she was really sick (and meds cost a fortune) . . . .
However, since then, she passed away – right after Memorial Day weekend. To make things worse, his dad had a stroke the very same day.

Now he’s been juggling the funeral and a bunch of other crap and STILL trying to get back to Dallas so he can get back to work and be there to care for his dad and get rolling on his projects.

So, there you have it. Why am I back here again? Well, he told me to go ahead and advise that the BLOOD RHINO is also for sale. This is TRULY a masterpiece, one of a kind, and was LITERALLY Mike’s flesh and blood. He had a few pints of blood drawn out which was used to paint the guitar before it was properly lacquered up and finished.

With either guitar he’ll get you certificate of authenticity and sign it or whatever you want.

And with the BLOOD RHINO he will also include the original 35 mm film made when then created the thing — it’s basically a documentary and “making of” that covers the entire process and story behind this beast. It’s never been shown to or released to the public.

Again . . . if you’re interested in EITHER of these unique guitars owned by an underappreciated MASTER musician, let me know and I’ll put you in contact with Mikey directly. He will make a good deal for you, I assure you.

Finally, if you just happen to have money in your piggy bank and were looking to do something nice to help out a brother with a heart of gold . . . well, I’m sure Mikey will be glad to work out those details with you as well.

He’s parting with guitar, the “White Rhino” which is a one-of-a-kind custom piece. Priceless to some and still worth thousands more retail than he’s selling it for.

He’s going to sell it for $1500.00
If anyone is interested, PM me and I can get you in touch with Mikey.

No pimpin’, Homie. I’m just a fan and a friend.

I’m just putting the word out there and trying to help a bro out. Just in case it comes off otherwise . . . I do not work for Mikey and I am not getting paid anything. I will not be involved in any transactions and my only role here is to put the news out on the street and, if need be, help facilitate communications with any interested potential buyers.

not exactly speechless. he has a bunch of kids.i hope someone buys it. all i can say.

I’m VERY tempted. That is a beautiful guitar.

a first act product.

a first act product.

Yes. But it was done by their custom shop team which consisted basically of a bunch of hotshot Gibson dudes. This piece should not be confused with or compared to the line of guitars that First Act mass produced and made their fortune on via Wal-Mart and Costco and such. First Act made a killing on selling a buttload of their entry level cheapos – this enabled them to roll over investments and do some really cool stuff on the custom side.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in it or wants to know more, just let me know and Mikey can answer what I can’t (i.e. pretty much everything).

Had no clue Mike played a First Act. Also had no idea that First Acts weren’t universally terrible, based on my rather limited knowledge of guitars.

Brutal.

jimmy archey was a gibson rep forever, and then became part of first act. probably sometime around when mikey got his deal with them.jimmy"s still around, doing independent stuff and not surprisingly calling my husband. good guy. good source.

Al endorsed them too, but I’ve never seen him play one. I had the same reaction, though, Pick. I remember when there was a press release about Al signing with them and I thought it was hilarious as I felt First Act was pretty much on the same level as Daisy Rock. I think I once saw a starter pack in Toys’R’Us for crying out loud.

Shame on their marketing guy who really should have considered branding a new name for their custom side. It’s kind of like McDonald’s opening a 5 star French restaurant but still putting a big yellow M on it.

Seriously, though, Mike’s guitar is no joke and I encourage anyone interested to talk to Mikey to find out more.

Not in the market right now.

Just bought a Fender FSR Butterscotch Tele a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t be happier.

I am seriously eying a Martin D-28 right now. i have my “finger on the trigger”. any you other guitar guys own a martin?

If he’s got any homies looking for a new axe tell him to spread the word.

People do not sell their babies because they want to sell them, they sell them because they need to sell them.

I’ve never owned one but I’ve played a few. They’re great, but overpriced I think. Best acoustic I’ve ever played was a Takamine…but you know how this works. You just need to find the guitar that’s right for you…regardless of price.

What else is he selling? Selling a $1500 guitar isn’t going to solve anyone’s troubles. So, is there more?

I was thinking the same thing.
Sorry gerda can’t afford it

You guys may want to go back and read the first paragraph of this thread.

It would fully depend on his situation and liquid cash flow versus tied investments.

Maybe it isn’t his baby, it was just sitting around for years, and/or now he wants something else. Only MS knows for certain.

I just thought it a bit odd that there were people closer to MS than the rest of us -pushing- a sale versus a simple “Hey, I saw MS’s guitar for sale. Anyone interested?”

I see: please please please buy MS guitar for there is some underlying reason I cannot tell you about that he is selling it but he really needs to sell it and sell it fast for the cash.

Understand that I am a very fact-oriented in writing and speaking-type person; therefore when I see/hear an emotional element, I sometimes read more into something than what may really be there.

No instruments for me. I’m musically mediocre, always have been and always will be no matter how much I practice. We really can’t be anything we want to be when we grow up.
