The mighty Akbar went and saw the ultra gay but funky MGMT live lastnight and the guitarist had a Ministry shirt on and the drummer had a Slayer shirt on!
I gave the guitarist big ups at the end and got a photo with him…he was surrounded by young teen girls swooning so i pushed them out of the way and talked Ministry with him![cool]
The shirt he had on was the Just One Fix tour shirt with the mozzy on it…RESPECT!
I like MGMT quite a bit actually. It’s good happy music.
Yeah…the album was a bit of a let down though…although it does contain 3 songs that are worth the price of it…“Kids”, “Electric Feel” and “Time To Pretend”.
It was funny watching them banging out these hippy prog rock disco ditties with Ministry and Slayer shirts on!
I only have the “Time to Pretend” E.P. and “Kids” and “TtP” were the two tracks I really like off of it. I’ll iTunes the other one you recommend and pass on the album.
