Excellent. It was also great to hear some lines I had forgot, like Grover Cleveland spanking him on two non-consecutive occasions.

Superior.

Oh boy…

There’s a reason they left that off Death Magnetic.

I skimmed through a number of these “Beyond Magnetic” tracks last night. So far I haven’t found anything that I really connect with.

Like Rev implied, it seems they pulled the garbage out of the trash can and are giving it back to us.

I liked “Death Magnetic” quite a bit. There are 4 or 5 songs that I really like. The rest are okay, but certainly not crap.

I don’t know, this just seems like a real 13’ish move in my opinion. But, I guess I can understand why they would. Aside from the obvious (cashola, Baby!) I can recognize that these were songs that, for better or worse, they put time and effort into and may have been proud of, even though they or the producers didn’t feel it had a place on the album.

Well, there WAS a Reload…

I liked Death Magnetic too. I haven’t listened to the other songs from Beyond Magnetic, but unless someone’s selling it cheap I’ll probably skip it.

A lot of people talk trash about Metallica and say they’ve jumped the shark. Yeah, yeah, whatever. I mean, it’s not like they’re doing 3-D movies or anything . . .

Oh, wait! Here’s an email I got today from the “MetClub” . . .

Metallica in 3D?

Happy New Year!!! As you know, we generally make it a policy not to comment on gossip or rumors, but we also pride ourselves on being first with 'Tallica news. So, with that said, the more astute of you may have noticed a couple of mentions in trade publications, and most recently in the new issue of Rolling Stone, that a Metallica 3D movie is in the works. We’re here to tell you that, yes, there is indeed a 3D project in the very early stages of production! We wish we could tell you more right now, but we don’t have all the finer points nailed down just yet. What we can tell you is that we are planning on being in a theatre near you sometime in 2013 and as you hear us say ever so often, this will be the space for all the details as we finalize them.

And, yes, I’ll definitely see it.

“'Tallica news”

I’d rather pour hot sauce in my dick hole than watch a Metallica 3d movie…

Hopefully James Cameron will direct it.
