metal sucks talks al and paul

The idea of Al and Paul coming back as a unit is beyond the beyond I think, not that either party would want that anyway. The post Barker Ministry albums (and the lawsuit and the false advertising and the stupid allegations etc.) show Al J up for what he is now: a washed up, musically bankrupt joker. Yeah some like the recent output, but my guess is most fans of Ministry w/Barker dont like it. Why would Paul want to get back in bed with that bitch-whipped eejit? Al J fucked up, Paul can do what he likes.

Some of the comments are funny: Houses and Rio were bad but Sucker was good? [laugh] or U.S.S.A. better than anything Ministry has done in over a decade? [laugh][laugh][laugh] [shocked]

ussa is pretty good, i like the bass guitar on that record. clearly the weakest thing is the vocals.

mostly article’s point is valid. except getting back together bit, of course.

The article itself is just lazy timing. If he’s any kind of fan, and had only read one of Al J.'s last few interviews, he’d know that it just isn’t going to happen. What’s he planning on writing about KMFDM, that he hopes Sascha and En Esch will kiss and make up, too?

Check back in two weeks when he pleads for Morrissey and Marr to “hug it the fuck out”.

1002

I’ve heard Marr & Morrissey are pretty close to doing some crap together again. It’s the animosity towards the drummer that will prevent a full-blown Smiths reunion.

the site is more or less a news blog with random shit thrown in… it’s not like a major metal news site like blabbermouth or whatever… at least they gave props to flowering bright

clearly the weakest thing is the vocals.

I’ll get behind this! Although, still the vox aren’t completely horrid and his vox are certainly much better live! but defintely sub par compared to everything else!

If Pink Floyd can reunite, so can Al and Paul.
Of course, it took Floyd 20 years, so we should be seeing that Ministry reunion right around 2023.

Gilmour and Waters have led much healthier and more privileged lives than Al has. And while this may not be a very nice thing to say but I doubt Al will be around by 2023 or at least able to perform on stage. Pink Floyd can sit back and play their tunes, Ministry cant really afford to play like that.

But that is looking too literally into the comparison and I guess I am missing the point about how serious rifts (involving lawsuits) can be resolved over years.

re: lawsuit

If the Al v. Paul lawsuit became serious courtroom drama, wouldn’t it be great if when Al was giving a testimony (see Godfather II) Paul brings with him a long lost Cuban relative of Al’s (who can only speak Spanish) to the courtroom. Al sees the relative and changes his story and denies Paul had “tortious intereference” or whatever it was.
