Now this is AMAZING! [shocked]
Thank you very much for sharing this, I can’t wait to see it!!
Merry Christmas to you too!!
holy fucking shit, this is INSANE!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Anyone care to share what it is for those of us without Dime?
Fuck yes.
Holy crap - on this like a fat kid on smarties!
Sorry, I figured everyone here was signed up at Dime. As for what it is:
Artist: Ministry
Date: 12/12/88
City: Toronto
Venue: Copa
Length: 85 Min
Setlist:
Personnel:
Al Jourgensen - Vocals, Keyboards
Paul Barker - Bass, Keyboards
Nivek Ogre - Guitar, Vocals
Bill Rieflin - Guitar, Keyboards
Jeff Ward - Drums
This is a great show from the Land Of Rape And Honey tour. The audience is quite lively, as is the band. Highlights include Al having a nice playful fight with Bill Rieflin during You Know What You Are while a girl from the audience gets onstage and steals the microphone. There are quite a few visitors onstage from the audience, perhaps partially leading to the giant chainlink fence used on the band’s next tour. As usual for dates from this tour, Ogre from Skinny Puppy joins the band for several songs, including doing vocals for the encore songs.
There are two stationary cameras used in this recording, with frequent cuts from one to the other. This leads me to believe that the original source was the venue itself. One camera’s quality is a bit better than the other, but both are very clear with good shots of the band with many closeups. The sound quality is very good for a video-sourced recording as well. The only drawback are the frequent dropouts of both audio and video. These happen every few minutes, especially toward the end of the recording. None last long, but the do break the flow of some of the songs. It’s still a quite entertaining watch, and one of only two videos from this tour that have surfaced - the other being the incomplete, black and white recording of the 12/16/88 New York show, which is nowhere near as fun to watch.
I’d love to see this. I’m not a dimer tho’
damn i want this…guess i´ll keep trying to register at dimeadozen
Any chance someone can upload this to Demonoid?
1002
too much to ask for this to be on soulseek? [:/]
as it is around 3gb, bittorrent is really the only way to go (so slsk wouldn’t work well). and dime really is the best BT site for live music so it belongs there. and i am sure you’ve heard this before but just randomly try signing up on dime a few times a day. They release open spots due to account inactivity daily (173 signed up in the past 24 hours).
i snatched 3,7gb dvd boot of atlanta 2003 on soulseek, didn’t have any problems, other than bittorent is much more convenient and alot faster.
I didn’t realize Rieflin ever did guitar/keyboard duties.

it’s doable, but the major problem with that is that you are grabbing the file from 1 user, so you had better hope their upload speeds are great (and i rarely get over 30k/s on slsk) and if they sign off you are hosed. in theory BT should work the best as long as people do their share of helping out. and since dime tracks ratios it sorta keeps people seeding.
yea, that’s what i meant exactly. but that user was one of the prongers, so it took two weeks but anyway.
thank you.

This show is one of the best if not the best live recording I’ve ever heard…the samples are so crystal clear.
did you notice that al played “get down” solo during “no devotion”? great early era dvd boot, thanks again. not enough paul barker though. trent ‘borrowed’ even ministry’s stage antics (i.e. running, crawling and grabbing other bandmembers, etc).
p. s. cool, thanks, i’ll grab the norway show too!
