Melvins News

The Melvins will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and are planning a number of things, including a string of shows where they will perform the “Houdini” record in its entirety. Trevor Dunn will be handling the bass duties at these shows while original drummer Mike Dillard will also be onboard. The pair will temporarily be replacing Jared Warren and Coady Willis respectively, both of whom will be touring with their other group Big Business. In addition to that, the bands appearances will feature a set of material from the “Mangled Demos” era, complete with Dale Crover taking over bass duties. Currently, shows set for the “Houdini”/“Mangled Demos” treatment include:
May 15th New York City, NY - Webster Hall
May 16th Boston, MA - Paradise
May 18th Chicago, IL - Double Door
May 20th Austin, TX - Emo’s

I’ll post more info as it comes up.

I’m hoping they and Big Business make it to the UK. I had to miss their last tour as the original Killing Joke line up were playing on the only night I could’ve caught the Melvins/Big Business. I knew that’d most probably be the last time I’d catch the OG KJ so caught them in the hope Melvins/BB would be back soon.

bummer…I’ll be in vacation at the Grand Canyon when they come to NYC. it’s ok, I’ve seen them a few times already and never been to the Canyon.

buzzo buzzo buzzo. phone time.

In ten years Buzzo will have his own brand of cereal and will have a cartoon show based on his everyday exploits and…hey, hang on:
