[i]Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has left fans dumbfounded after taking to the stage at a gig in Singapore and accusing U.S. President Barack Obama of using last month’s Colorado cinema massacre and a recent shoot-out at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin to push through a nationwide gun ban back home.
The heavy rocker aimed his angry rant at the leader last week, telling fans he believed Obama was “staging” the murders.
In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, Mustaine said, “Back in my country, my president… he’s trying to pass a gun ban, so he’s staging all of these murders… Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there… and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple.”
And he didn’t stop there - the rocker also revealed he was considering a move to Singapore, adding, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America.”[/i]
Do you have a reference for that? Assuming the story is legit (yet to be verified), I’m just wondering if Dave is really so insane that he thinks that an administration would actually PLAN killing sprees or if he was just being retarded and using the word “staged” when he really just meant that the anti-gun people and Obama administration were using the incidents after the fact to push an agenda.
Either way, pretty funny stuff.

Thanks, I actually just found the YouTube clip. I think he was just rambling like a buffoon. It’s pretty funny, actually, because he’s got some really cool and relaxed stage banter up to that point. It went from like the Mustaine Comedy Show to “What the heck is he talking about?”
It’s a pretty stupid issue to bring up in Singapore anyway. Singapore is first off a great example of EFFECTIVE AND WORKING Gun Control (a little easier to do with an island smaller than Los Angeles). Guns are totally illegal. In fact, if you got caught with one the penalty is LIFE IN PRISON.
Anyway, I think Dave is kind of known for saying retarded stuff that he doesn’t quite understand himself (ahem . . . how’d that gig in Ireland go, Dave?).
Whether or not he meant what he said the way he said it, I’m sure (as with any public figure that puts his foot in his mouth) he or his agents will promptly issue a clarification of “what he really meant to say”.
I hope he just sticks to his guns and says, “Yeah, that’s what I said. I think Obama planned the Batman massacre.”

Mustaine’s comments came while he was on stage at a gig in Singapore and he has now moved to clarify his controversial statements.
In an interview with U.S. radio host Alex Jones, Mustaine says, "In the heat of the moment, when you’re onstage and you’re talking, sometimes you’re not as eloquent as you’d like to be… We really need to investigate this…
"I love our country and my whole thing with this is that I think we should just look into it… I just think that we deserve to know the truth - that’s it.
“I’m a patriot. I’ve always been controversial. I’m a political songwriter. And this wasn’t done to hurt any our my fellow countrymen. I think that it’s something that we really, really need to look into.”[/i]
