Hey! I’m new here, and I was curious what you guys thought about Meg Lee Chin? She had one song apiece on those crappy “tribute” albums (Another Prick in the Wall, etc.), but I thought they were really well done and original (She did Just one Fix and Scarecrow). I don’t usually go for covers, but that was interesting…does anyone here know anything about her? I’ve only ever heard those two tracks, and one she did with Hansel und Gretyl (uhhhh…), but I’m interested to see what you think. Oh, I can send them to you if need be.
She did some really really good vocals on the PigFace album “A New High in Low” and I think shes also and Eat SHiT you Fukcing red neck. I think she has some solo records on Underground Inc. Not sure thought, never listened to them.
welcome.
From what I gather, she’s on invisable (or used to be). You should go here:
She was with Pigface from around the Team 94 tour until after one of their New High In Low tours. She released one album on Invisible with a remix album followup. She toured a few times with TKK and several other Invisible-type bands. I saw her live when she did the Beatbox tour with Jared from Chemlab. Pretty decent stuff. She and Atkins reportedly broke up over royalties a few years back. She supposedly had a second album recorded a year or two back, but it has yet to come out.
For more info on her, check out her website at www.megleechin.com.
Right on. I’m surprised I didn’t know her from TKK…oh, well. Thanks guys!
She was also Roddy Bottum’s (Faith No More) classmate at San Francisco State University. In fact, she produced some demos for him at that time.
She actually produced one of the earliest FNM demos… like, around 1983, 1984 or so…
And here I thought I was the only one that liked old Faith No More! At least, around here I am…
“We want an urban dream
The fucking urban scream
This time was mine to borrow
I’ll pay for it tomorrow
You’ll pay for it today
And as we drive away
I’ll make my pleasure greater
Push the accelerator!”
Without bothering to start a new thread, anyone know what happened to good old Chuck Mosley? I really am lazy, I could just Google these people…but I won’t.
Her album “Piece and Love” and her EP “Junkies And Snakes” are well worth your time and money! I highly recommend them both.
As far as the “new” album, Meg hinted that there are still some legal entanglements from Invisible.
Her stuff is pretty similar to her Pigface track, except perhaps a bit more upbeat and noizy. Loads of electronics and great vocal work.
