Marilyn Manson 'Born Villain'

Using a teleprompter for such a crap song seems like an awful waste of a teleprompter.

But he did do something right in that painful video and it was right at the end. He totally blanked Sharon Osbourne and did not reciprocate her disingenuous, teenagery hug.

I think they did a good job covering the song. Probably the last time Manson really gave some effort in his live vocal performance.

Also this performance is notable for being the last thing keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy aka Pogo did with the band.

I just presumed that was a recent video and was wondering about the keyboardist because I remember reading somewhere (probably here) that he had left the band.

Didn’t Pogo sue Manson after he left the band? Last I heard he reunited with Daisy on a new project.

He did, and settled for almost nothing compared to what he was aiming for. If he and Daisy are working on something, i’d be anxious to hear it. Ginger Fish is probably looking for a new job also, so add him to the mix.

Daisy/Scott was and is one of the most talented musicians of that group, hell of a guitarist. Pogo, too, but honestly he is indeed not much of a keyboard PLAYER as much as a soundscape maker. Always wondered why he never did more atmospheric pieces…

About a month ago, I saw Scott Putesky aka Daisy Berkowitz perform recently with his band Three Ton Gate in a random bar in NYC, alongside shitty cover bands and typical “bar rock” crap.

It was utterly pathetic.

I don’t think most people there even knew who he was and probably thought it was just another random bar band.

He sang completely out of tune, played with maybe two different distortion pedals, through the SAME guitar amp used by all the bands that night, which was a piece of crap and presumably belonged to the club.

I talked to him as well, and he claimed to be “in talks” with Manson about him rejoining (I could tell he was lying) and was going off about how they can’t write good music without him, etc. which is a crock of shit.

Honestly, I’d gone in there thinking the same you guys are saying (this guy is underrated, they should bring him back into the band), but I can see now why maybe that’s not the right move. He’s totally washed out and seems to have lost his marbles to be quite honest…

He also confirmed that he is NOT doing a project with Pogo, but may do some kind of Spooky Kid thing or some other bullshit with new members.

I just wanted to hug him and say “let it go…”

As for Stephen Bier aka Madonna Wayne Gacy aka Pogo, this is the last we heard from him:

Like Putesky, Zim Zum, and others who have exited the Manson camp on bad terms, he seems completely incapable of understanding how to market himself or to produce good music.

I am continually astounded by how clueless these guys are, especially considering they came up alongside someone who used to be a master marketer and is very clever.

At some point recently, Stephen Bier aka Pogo’s new band, MM2 (no that’s not a joke…) released a cover of Killing Joke, the snippet of which I can’t be arsed to find after a cursory search revealed nothing.

As for Ginger Fish, he’s doing just fine, as the current drummer for Rob Zombie [cool]

…yeeeeeah. He’s doin’ just…fine.

HAHAHAHA!!! Is that My Chemical Romance? What a bunch of turds.

I always got mixed up between Daisy, Ginger, Zim Zum, the other guy, and all the rest, except Twiggy and Madonna.

What a clusterfuck!

Zombie should just hire Pogo and steal away Twiggy to complete the set.

Nice! Thought it was Jordison drumming for Zombie. Good for Ginger!

Yeah I remember you mentioning that. He’s no showman at all, definitely a great contributor. Well, I guess you can say that about all of them (except for Jeordie).

He must’ve made a lot of fucking money to have not done anything music-wise for 15 years, though. Can’t fault him for that.

I think he made enough money to kind of skirt by on a really broke lifestyle…
He probably does odd jobs here and there under the radar too.

I thought I’d post this here as well since it’s a very relevant update to the upcoming Marilyn Manson album ‘Born Villain’:

Chris Vrenna, the Grammy-Award-winning musician and producer who was most recently the drummer/keyboardist for MARILYN MANSON, has left the band to focus on his growing film and video game scoring, production career and DJ outings as well as work on the forthcoming 2012 TWEAKER release.

“I’m incredibly proud of the work I did with MANSON and look forward to the release of [the new MARILYN MANSON album] ‘Born Villain’. I wish my brothers well, but with the recording largely completed, I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career, which involves production work, film scoring, and future musical collaborations,” explained Vrenna.

Vrenna rose to prominence in the early ‘90s as a full-time member of NINE INCH NAILS, having been a permanent member of Trent Reznor’s band since NINE INCH NAILS’ inception and for the following eight years. His production and programming credits include the aforementioned NINE INCH NAILS, SMASHING PUMPKINS, MARILYN MANSON, GUNS N’ ROSES and most recently work on EVANESCENCE’s self-titled 2011 album. Vrenna is also a sought after remixer working on tracks by U2, NELLY FURTADO, RAMMSTEIN and SLIPKNOT.

Vrenna looks like a chick I dated once.

Here’s a new clip of Marilyn Manson on That Metal Show:
