That's right, contain yourself. The secret that we've been sat on for what feels like eternity, can finally be revealed; Next year, on Monday 30th March 2015, we are hella, hella excited to officially announce that we'll be releasing the epic clash between two legendary heavyweights; Marc Heal of [url "http://www.armalyte.com/www.facebook.com/cubanate"]Cubanate / C-Tec / Ashtrayhead will go toe-to-toe with the Notorious P.I.G. himself, [url "http://www.armalyte.com/www.theswining.com/"]Mr Raymond Watts, who you may know via his exemplary work with KMFDM, Schaft and Schwein. Whilst details at present are being kept delibrately on the down-low, we can reveal that the EP will be entitled 'Compound Eye', and will feature two brand new tracks plus two new remixes from each artist, bringing the EP up to a not insubstantial eight tracks. We've heard it, and we love it. More info soon, but in the meantime, why not check out the details surrounding the EP's Launch party, provisionally booked to take place in London, at Fortress Studios, on Saturday 28th March 2015. We shall be boozing it up alongside messers Heal and Watts, and scene legends Phil Barry ([url "http://bemyenemy.co.uk/"]Be My Enemy / Cubanate) and Jared Louche ([url "http://www.armalyte.com/www.facebook.com/prudemusic"]Prude / Chemlab) are promising to make an appearance too. For tickets, [url "https://www.facebook.com/events/662218390563884/?fref=ts"]click here. #PartyOfTheYear...

I imagine the PIG tracks are gonna be the ones he released demos for awhile back. Still nice to see that a new release with the PIG name on is happening after 10 years, even if it’s an EP. Thanx for sharing.

After all this time, and all we get from Raymond is two songs and remixes? Meh… It’s not like i’m going to say no to new Pig…

Maybe this is scrapped material for what’s supposed to be new PIG. Heal was involved in making a new full length with Watts and backed out of it.

I’ve got tickets for the release party at fortress. should be fun.

Any word on a PIG tour, or any one off gigs?

I pre-ordered it…

The long-awaited EP documenting the coming together of two alt. scene heavyweights: Marc (Cubanate / Pigface) Heal and Raymond (PIG / KMFDM) Watts is finally being unleashed on Monday 13th April. Containing the first official PIG squeals to emerge in a decade, and the first Marc Heal material to be released under the guise of MC Lord of The Flies, there’s two new tracks from each artist, plus remixes from the likes of Rhys (Frontline Assembly) Fulber and Phil (Be My Enemy) Barry, all of which have to be heard to be believed. Available in a deluxe 6 panel digipack complete with ltd. edition collector’s card, the CD is limited to just 500 copies worldwide, so get your trotters moving if you want to guarantee yourselves a copy. Anyways, to celebrate this most excellent occasion, you can now pre-order the EP, along with a rather nifty shirt (design above, flanking the Compound Eye cover in the centre, or scroll down for a slightly bigger view) that celebrates our love of all things ‘Compound Eye’. The official release date is Monday 13th April, but pre-order now to save yourself some cash PLUS we’ll try and get both Heal and Watts to sign the damn thing AND we’ll throw in some badges and stuff. Don’t say we’re not the benevolent type. PLEASE NOTE that orders won’t be dispatched until release due to the relative mayhem of getting both Watts and Heal in the same room (and the same country!) to actually sign the damn things, a feat far more difficult than it really should be. Anyways, to pre-order this beauty, you’d best navigate the unwieldy dropdown menu below…

We appreciate that some of you may want sizes outside of the norm, are grrrls or simply don’t actually want to buy the CD itself (we do realise that physical media is sooooo last century, you know?), so you can buy the shirt on it’s own below, or if you want a size not listed, or some kind of hooded garment then please just drop us a mail to info at armalyte dotcom and we shall see what we can do. Simples!

Not sure $37 is worth it for a shirt and an EP’s worth of material. Also there’s the other EP with Primitive Race and the merch on the theswining.com is making a comeback. I wish the preorders could happen when I actually have money to burn on it, but the best PIG albums I’ve bought were in the used section at Rasputin for less than $10, and those were full albums. New bed and new boots have waited long enough!

When It comes to Raymond…price is pretty much no object.

Now that I’m sober after the free booze at the launch event I can report a little on it.

Was a great night, a small do at Fortress studios just down the road from where I work, which is handy. There were probably 50 people there, including Marc, Raymond, Phil Barry and some guy from Killing Joke. I got a t-shirt, CD a copy of Marc’s book (when it’s released) and a bunch of free drinks. Not bad for £40. I spoke to Raymond for a while and he’s a really nice guy. For some reason it had never occurred to me that he was actually English. He was fascinated by the fact I live on a boat, since he’d stayed on one before, and loved the idea of being off the grid. I asked him what was up with his music, what he’d been up to recently. He replied that he’d been doing sound design for some famous fashion designer for the past several years, which is fun and pays the bills, but that music had taken a back seat. he was keen to get back into it. He asked me if I’d heard his stuff on the ep yet, I said no, but I’d heard the Primitive Race song. He asked if I liked it… I said I found it interesting. He’s done a few tracks for them, apparently, maybe 3 or 4? he thought it was fun, and contributed quite a lot to the songs. he then introduced me to marc heal, and we chatted for a while. ended up talking about business, since we both deal in similar stuff and are having the same sort of issues. He was on;y over for 3 days from Singapore, so was quite jetlagged. I didn’t get to chat about music with him though, only the technical side… it’s always a bit weird meeting your ‘idols’, i never know what to say. anyway, was a cool night and some good tunes were spun, although marc and raymond never did actually DJ.

oh, and raymond looks incredibly young, unbelievably so. like 30 years younger than he is.

The fashion house of Alexander McQueen. McQueen died in 2010; he hung himself just days after his mum passed away.

yeah, that’s it. didn’t want to get too specific, didn’t know if it was public knowledge or not. apparently it is, now i’ve googled it.

oh, and raymond looks incredibly young, unbelievably so. like 30 years younger than he is.

does he? even on the all hamerican pig show tour he looked old as shit.

He looked much better when we chatted with him in 2011 at Retrospectacle.

I can vouch for what Mooney is saying - I talked with him for a few mins at Retro and he seemed sharp as a tack, in good spirits and genuinely looking quite healthy.

In addition to his work with McQueen, he also scored the movie Plato’s Reality Machine.

Got the copy today. Listening now…clean production so far.

Does it sound any different from the demos that came out a couple years back?

different…nope, same mix but cleaner sound.
