I lived with a guy who played a lot of this game, but would quit and start the track again as soon as he missed a note. he would also prepare himself by smoking about a million cones. I heard the first 4 seconds of Primus’ ‘John the fisherman’ soooo many damn times…
my ten year old neighbor plays, and that’s about the level of engagement with this.

grand theft can be fun. there’s a stupid pleasure in watching your damn car eject you because you’re not all that good playing the game.
GTA4 was and still is awesome. Bugs me though that people release 60 dollar games now, only to release downloadable content later for another 10 or more. Whether it be a new level or two or just some new fancy costumes. Just release your damn game! But i’ve got to admit that some dlc isn’t half bad.
I’ve played Guitar Queero also. Not necessarily my thing. But when drinking with friends, it could be fun. I wouldn’t buy it, but i’m sure there’s far worse out there.
So now if you’ll excuse me, an arkham asylum and a dissidia await. Shame I won’t be able to play AA until I get home from work. Fuck…
i like GTA4. i’ll be getting the gay tony add-on. i think its a lot of fun. i finished the main story, playing the biker one.

I have never owned an entertainment system other than my home computer. When people say they like to invite friends over and play video games I don’t really understand it. Not knocking it but I honestly just don’t get it.

I am not into Guitar Hero at all, I think it’s a bit crap, I did play it recently and it was kinda fun, but meh don’t get the obsession.
HOWEVER… I am that much of a nerd that I did have the first incarnation of this (and still do) on the original playstation - it was called Beatmania, it was 5 keys of a keyboard and a “scratch pad”. Same concept as guitar hero but with hip hop, gabba etc or really friggin lame J-pop considering it didnt get a wide western release. I can’t bring myself to sell it despite not having played it for a few years.
GTA Is wonderful… I don’t know why I enjoy it. I hardly play video games anymore… not for lack of trying!
I did obtain myself a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for xbox recently… not as fun as I remember, however it did have a custom soundtrack with NIN and Refused, Aphex Twin and Patton amongst others on there.

Dissidia looks pretty dope. Smash with Final Fantasy characters? Yes, ma’am, may I have another. Probably caters exclusively to the VII-and-beyond crowd, but it was pretty cool seeing Kefka in all his maniacal glory in the commercial I just caught an hour ago.
personally i thought space channel 5, aside from the original simomn, was the best of those hit a button to the beat games…
