Mad Max 4

I’m waiting in line now.

It looked pretty cool

I don’t even remember the last movie I bothered seeing in the theater. I think it was “Gran Torino”.

Great film. I think the most recent one i saw in the cinema was the most recent Schwarzenegger film, Sabotage.

“Gran Torino” is one of my top 10 of all time. Pure Eastwood awesomeness.

I haven’t been to the theater since. . .last weekend.

Yeah, definitely, it was great to see him in one final classic role.

It’s amazing that fast rate at which he directs films…seems like a new one comes out every year that he has directed…super prolific…I think he is one of those guys that knows he needs to keep working or he will die…

I haven’t seen Trouble With the Curve yet, but all the films he’s directed since Gran Torino have either not interested me at all or been total shite, like Invictus. He’s certainly a fast worker though, absolutely. It’s just a shame that these days he’s quickly cranking out a load of nonsense. It seemed like Jersey Boys came out about 2 months after i heard he was making it, hahaha. Maybe American Sniper might be ok, but i don’t have a huge amount of interest in it at the moment. In saying that, he did direct some films that i really didn’t like before Gran Torino as well. Still, the man’s a legend and has always been my alltime hero. I think mentioning him as an inspiration in an interview a couple of months ago might have swung it for me and got me my new job. Cheers Clint [:)]

Well, finally, over 4 years after the original post, we have a trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road, and it looks suitably fucking mental. Consider me thrilled.

More or less looks and feels exactly like I thought it would over a year ago.

So, in that respect, I am suitably pleased.

2015 is going to be pretty damn hot to trot for film…

Still, the man’s a legend…

Well, him screaming at an empty chair at the GOP convention was legendary.

To Jay – “Trouble With The Curve” is alright. It’s pretty standard Hollywood drivel with the predictable blow-a-little-sunshine-up-your-butt story, and there’s nothing there to challenge anyone on or off screen, but it’s watchable. I saw it on an airplane . . . which is about where it fits.

I haven’t been to the theater since. . .last weekend.

I got dragged along to the new Transformers monstrosity. Saw it for free though, so I used it as an excuse to curl up on a comfy chair and snooze for three hours.

Oh that Marky Mark!! He’s such a little trooper.

3 hours??? that is ridiculous!!! 90- 120 minutes is all that is needed for any movie. anything beyond that is bullshit. Except for the few movies I like that exceed that time frame… if there are any. but transformers? That’s a big 10-NO

Looks awesome.

Dude, you ain’t kiddin’!

I figured Peligro was just saying 3 hours for hyperbolic effect, but I looked the film up on IMDB . . . . yup, 165 minutes just for the movie, which means you’re definitely in the theatre for 3 hours. That’s just insane.

It’s a damn movie about cars that turn into robots. And it’s the 4th or 5th one in the series, too. 3 hours? Good grief. It ain’t “Ghandi”, for crying out loud!

Yes. And how many 9 year olds can hold their pee in for 165 minutes, do you think?!?!

There’s something about a cinema that makes every single kid under the age of 12 suddenly need to pee bucketloads as soon as the lights go down.

Have scientists ever tried to explain this??

Yeah, i’ve had a copy for quite a while but never got round to it, have to check it out some time purely for Clint [:)]

Dude, I’ve seen it twice! I took my younger son without knowing how long it was…then I got home and my older son (who didn’t want to see it originally) asked if I would take him to see it. So I took him a week later. Ugh.

The new hottie (Nicola something)… was semi cute.

Looks damn good.

Who’d have thought we’d have to wait 30 years for another Mad Max.

Still, I waited in line on opening day for Beyond Thunderdome and I’ll most likely wait in line on opening day for Fury Road.
