Are they worth looking into?
Never liked them…
I like the old stuff but anything past like 92 does nothing for me. I really like early Acid and New Beat though, so bear that in mind.

Didn’t the chick from Nocturne end up singing for them? I forget her name…I know of her because her band opened for Pigface when I saw them one time(I think I met her at some point)…she even sang on an album or two of theirs…I remember reading that she ended on one of those ridiculous Brett Michaels reality shows…

i have all there cd’s , but don’t play them much.
Lords of Acid have their moments. As far as albums go - Our Little Secret and Farstucker are my favs.
I saw them once back in the mid 90’s. It was a really fun show.
We met Praga before the show for bit. We rolled up to the venue pretty early and he was standing out front for some reason. Seemed like a pretty decent fellow.

Yeah, Lacey Conner. She’s a nice gal. She wanted to kill me at one point, but we got past that little bump in the road. I don’t like ANY of her music (she’s done stints with Pigface, Lords of Acid, Nocturne, and her new project HALO) but she’s an good kid and I wish her the best.

I don’t remember the name of the theatre. Grumps and I were guests of Doug Freel, the director. I got a few other friends in and we saw a couple other Prongers (some cat named Carrion, as I recall) there. The after party was some rooftop shindig. Yeah, I was hanging out with gunnar that whole night. So, It’s quite possible we did meet. I’m kinda quiet If I don’t know people, so I only really talked to gunnar that night. Although, I did meet 2 other prongers there that night. I can’t remember either of their handles but one of them has this caveman looking avatar and seldom posts.
Lacy was funny because gunnar had just finished telling me in the car ride down about his adventures with her on the internet and ramco and not but 20 minutes later she struts past us in the lobby and I look at gunnar and say, “there’s your girl.” He was like really? you think that was her? I said, “My wife made me watch the entire rock of love season, that’s her.” So, Gunnar went to talk to her and I hung back.
later on we were waiting for a chance to talk to barker, trying to be polite and wait our turn and so finally here’s our moment and she totally rushes in front of us and starts name dropping all these people she has worked with like ogre and what not and you could totally see barker trying to process this information, like WTF am I supposed to do with this? what does she want me to say?" he just smiled and nodded his head sort of but he looked noticeably uncomfortable. She finally left and I got my autographs and fanboyism on!!

I was trying to get an autograph for my wife and I think he knew I wanted an autograph so he wouldn’t even acknowledge our existence then I turned around and he was gone. I felt like butting in and saying “look dude I really don’t swoon over your band, but this is for my wife so stop being a pretentious dick and make with the autograph.” but gunnar kept saying don’t interrupt. So I didn’t.

I too was a guest of Doug’s. I went to the Chicago premiere for FIX and chatted him up then. We have a friend in common, so when the LA screening came up. . .

Gunnar, you’d probably remember me better from the DethRok album release party at Bar Sinister. A mutual friend introduced us, and we actually had a conversation about where you were from, how you were staying near Hollywood & Highland, etc. I had just started posting here, so it just seemed sort of pointless to try to explain who I was. I wouldn’t have even recognized you, except you’d recently posted one of your “Gunnar vs Vegas” threads with a few pictures.

Hmm… i don’t remember anybody else around when we were about to talk to paul and got sniped by lacy… I certainly don’t remember her getting an autograph.
