Lord_Of_Lard GOT THE NURSING HOME CHORUS!

Nursing me 'til he loses control
Nursing me to 'till there’s NOOOooo where to go
Nursing me could you leave me alone?
Nursing me in a nursing home
I said I’m nursing you in the nursing home!
(I rule!!!)

Edit: Also the last two lines that say “gonna” are really “gotta”

Edit #2
He likes {boom book}(Still don’t know this line but it’s certainly NOT “boom boogie”)
He’s got an old trombone
While he’s {stamping out} the fires with a broken beat phone
Got a troubled soul
{Burning on that coal}

I really don’t hear that “I rule” line in there anywhere.

Yo’re definitely right on that second line. Funny that I could’ve sworn it said Bureau. Only things I disagree with are the first line (there are too many sylables to fit “loses control”) and the last line of the verse - “running hot and cold” seems to fit better.

No, no it’s there… [Nursing…grmpy rulez in the Nursing home!} listen real close. [:)]

{control} is definitely the last word. you’re probably right about the word(s) before {control}, though, like you were with {comfortable} lyric in step

and the last line of the verse - “running hot and cold” seems to fit better.

I guess I can hear that… I’ve certainly heard {cold} as the lyric before …thought it might be {burning on that cold} kinda thought it was a reference to the shivers you get when you detox from heroin. Burning obviously a heroin cooking reference.

you guys must be joking? that definitely isn’t the chorus to nursing home…

Not dead yet, just moving kind of slow
Not dead yet, just doesn’t let go
Not dead yet, just leave me alone
Not dead yet in the nursing home

and the second time he adds

I’ve been alive 10 years in a nursing home!

edit - grammar

Holy shite I think Your right!

Damn I ran it by the listen test and I think Your right! it pops right out! Holy shite… I didn’t want to give you credit at first. I was all ready to dismiss you!..
My apologies. I even went so far as to remove track noise trying to isolate the Vocal track and sho’ enough there it was
Good job my man!

(Although line #2 is {Not dead yet, doesn’t know where to go}

“and the I’ve been alive 10 years in the nursing home” = {I said I’m not dead yet in the nursing home} -you hear it really good with track reduction software)

This is my whole transcription of Nursing home what do you think of the verses???..

Nursing Home
The moths in my eyes never bring me no sleep
They just strap me inside with the demons I keep
Gotta leave me alone
gotta let it be lone
Tired of living, too tired to die
Make a shark keep swimming when he don’t know why
Gotta Gasoline fin
Only thing that he wears

(thank you for the chorus!!)
Not dead yet, just a moving kind of slow
Not dead yet, doesn’t know where to go
Not dead yet, just a leave me alone
Not dead yet, in the nursing home

Sleeping and walking in an old man Jones
Just a poppin’ my feet with a broken old horse
Stop riding those rails
Stop setting those sails

Back room cook
has got an old trombone
While he’s stamping out the fires with a broken beef bone
Got a troubled soul
Runnin’ hot and cold

Not dead yet, just a moving kind of slow
Not dead yet, doesn’t know where to go
Not dead yet, just a leave me alone
Not dead yet in the nursing home
I said I’m not dead yet in the nursing home

Taking on water like a dead man’s boat
He need to eat that gravy all the week you’re flat broke
(Alt Lyric- You need to eat that gravy all week ya fat bloke)
Got a fire inside
He’s gonna burn him alive
Talking in circles till the roof is blown
Got a bed and three square in the nursing home
Gotta say bye-bye
He’s gotta walk on by

Not dead yet, just a moving kind of slow
Not dead yet, doesn’t know where to go
Not dead yet, just a leave me alone
Not dead yet in the nursing home
I said I’m not dead yet in the nursing home

Bisquito after hearing the Vocals through the track Isolater I think this is it… unless Lord has some other input…

In the second verse I think it is:

“Not dead yet, just don’t know how let it go”

I’ve always heard it as “not dead yet”.
But it’s all over the internet as “nursing me” or “nursing here” so I assumed I was the one who was wrong.
There’s a psychological term for that, but I forget what it is.

In the second verse I think it is:

“Not dead yet, just don’t know how let it go”

Too many syllables with {let it}.
could hear {doesn’t know {when} to go}

I’ve always heard it as “not dead yet”.
But it’s all over the internet as “nursing me” or “nursing here” so I assumed I was the one who was wrong.

I was wondering who was gonna show up AFTER THE FACT and say “I knew that was the lyric,” and in walks the Rev![:)]

“Liar”? [:P]

hmmm… this is the only part that doesn’t ring true to me.

streaking on water like a dead man’s boat
he need to kick that pretty or a wake up flat broke

is what I hear.

Why would I lie about something stupid like that?
But seriously, I’m referring to an experiment where they put a bunch of people in a room and try to use peer pressure to convince some of the people that they’re wrong about some obvious fact.
I wish I had any memory retention from college psychology classes. I minored in it for crying out loud.

I was kidding, Hence the Tongue Smiley.

I know what your talking about. They would show a picture of a square and the whole group would say it’s a triangle or show the color brown and the group would say it’s pink and it would only take, on average, 3 rounds before the subject would break and go along with the group’s wrong answers… It’s kinda like assimilation but I don’t think that’s the word.

It’s called cognitive bias, of which there are various forms.

There are few leaders and mostly followers for survival of the species.
