Just to clear things up a bit, Stigmata and What About Us have NOT been played on this tour. Everyone’s getting the same set to this point. I’d be surprised to hear a different set by next Tuesday’s show in Tempe. Why do I get the feeling Chicago will have the expanded sets, and the rest of us will only get to hear about it?

I don’t think that’s gonna happen either. According to the scuttlebut Nobody has practiced those song they are out of practice, excuse, excuse, excuse. Why would they show up to Chicago to play a bunch of songs they haven’t rehearsed? Not willing to waste $ on a plain ticket or Ebay concert ticket which may or may not show up to find out.

I just checked out cali to chicago 2 people round trip roughly 700 bucks 100 bucks for 2 tickets to hob and 300 bucks for motel stay from the 7th to the 9th! give or take, 1350.00 for total cost of the trip(hidden expenses once we get there and shit)… too much $$$$.$$ for a “hopefully, maybe”!!

as crude as this place can get at times as well as unnecessarily mean, at least members aren’t worried about getting censored or getting kicked out. which doesn’t foster the shallow atmosphere, such is the PA. so members here are free to be who they are (or who they choose to portray themselves as) Also, some people diet over here!

i wouldn’t travel from CA to chicago on a maybe, but i’m conveniently close. although apparently not close enough for ministry to play in my town anymore, even though i had been seeing them here on every tour until houses HRRMMMM I WONDER WHY!?!?!?

Well, when I say ‘expanded’, I use the term loosely. I think there was some mention late last year of Rape and Honey and one other song being considered…Scarecrow? You would think Ministry would rehearse more than what we’re seeing on the set list, unless Al just wrote the list up first and said, “This is all we’re playing, so this is all we’re rehearsing”. Not the norm, but I wouldn’t put it past him.
I’d love to see a Cure rehearsal. I can envision Fat Bob telling the band, “Um, yes, let’s start with the first album, then play the whole discography, and then I’ll whittle the set down to 40 songs.”

I’m in Minneapolis and as Ministry won’t be coming through here (as they have on all their other tours) I’d planned to hit Chicago to see them but after seeing the set list I’m going to give it a pass. There may be one or two extras but I can’t imagine that there’ll be enough to get me to drive 8 hours.

This also isn’t my first music message board. I get it, I really do. I assure you that I haven’t missed your point. Just remember that attitude and perspective are everything in solving a shitty, disappointing, false advertising situation. There is a difference between fans and groupies. I am not a groupie nor an arse-kissing fan. I also don’t cling to anyone for status.
I don’t consider evidence contemptibly petty or insignificant. However, whining to the wrong people about something they have absolutely no control over is chicken shit. People must take the proper steps to change something, or hit them where it hurts the most - the wallet! But by then, it is too late. Very last tour is over. Bye bye.
Grumps, she has a MySpace too. Step One: Tell her everyone is aware of the faux advertised set list that doesn’t really span 30 years and the decreased time duration of the set. It has already decreased ticket sales and that she can increase her profit margin by changing the set list to get more ticket sales, which equals more merch/drink sales, etc. That should get her attention. It’s not what you say, it is how you say it. If the band can change up the order of the programming, that is another challenge.
Apparently, nobody wants to see their favorite band play their favorite songs when they have the opportunity. Oh well.
