Ok a few threads ago I pined for some way to get ahold of the old tv show “The State”(Which, coincedentally, makes up half the cast of “RENO 911”- how they could go from hysterical to stupid is beyond me- I thought things were supposed to get better with age!)
well I found the first season for download on itunes. I have downloaded them. they download as Mpeg4 I planned on making them into a DVD BUT I can’t find software that will burn Mpeg4 to DVD or change MPEG4 over to another format.
I know how you kiddies like to circumvent the machine so I was wondering the best programs to change this seldom watched tv show over to a format I can burn onto a disc and enjoy on normal tv.
Thanks in advance!

Use a program called ‘ConvertXtoDVD’ made by VSO. That will convert MP4/Avi/some other files types to a DVD.
Relatively easy to use, so I’m sure you’ll get it [:P]
reno 911 is stupid, but still funnier than most TV. i read last year that they are going to do a Morrissey musical. i can only hope that’s true.
And if anyone is using a mac, visualhub is great for converting to different video formats.
since its itunes, the files might have DRM…
in this case, you are probably out of luck.

In that case, i’ve heard of a software called Tunebite. I’ve been meaning to check it out, but what from what i’ve heard about it, it serves for that exact purpose.
I still have the majority of all the episodes except the first season and the holloween special from NBC on tape. Man I watched that show so much when I was a kid I would just recite line for line… They had I think 2 or 3 shows on commedy central before reno was a hit. Stella and Viva variety come to mind…Ken marino was on that show “men behaving badly” for a season which was funny i think, but don’t quote me on it since i haven’t seen that show in at least a decade… David wain switched to mostly writing. I know they did that wet hot american summer movie, and some movie where it’s a series of sub stories on breaking each of the ten commandments… i know winona ryder was in it and fucked a dummy… like a wooden dummy…
God i need a life…
I remember that micheal ian black and mike showalter both posted on their blogs that the dvd of the show was coming out this year. But I guess mtv fucked up again and probably decided to do something smart like release more beavis and butthead episodes without the videos, or put out dead at 21 or something instead.
here’s a random show. Anybody remember when they had station zero on? it was on for like 1 season in 1999 or 2000… it was basically 2 black guys watching videos and argueing. I remember one episode they got all excited cause angie martinez was supposed to stop by, and then another where there debated which is cooler being “Jiggy”, or being “Hardcore”
that one guy Doug - the one that goes, I’m Doug and I’m outta hheeeeeeeeeere.
Yeah i like that skit too! His friends always turn on him and hang out with the authority figure!! Too funny…That guy’s real name is Michael Showalter.
I think my favorite skit was when they started serving “muppet” meat to their friends “cause the little guy must’ve been learning his Numbers and letters on the lisence plate when they backed over him”! too fucking funny!
Reno 911 has such potential and it’s just squandered on cheap jokes and shitty punchlines that aren’t funny… Sickening.
I’ll give the tunebite a try and report back. hopefully it’s not just for the MP3 security…I may have to use it in conjection with that other program red velour suggested… I guess we’ll see.

I concur.
You misogynist.

A fo sheezy, ConvertX rulez… I burns all my dvds from avi/mp4 using that program.
Tunebite and ConvertXtoDVD
Neither of these work!
Tunebite Rips it to AVI or whatever format but the audio is all screwed up and the video skips so much that the whole 20 minute show is over in about 15 seconds[:(]
The convertXtoDVD just says, literally, “Damn, we have a problem.”
The log says “04 Episode 4.m4v ignored Unrecoverable error while reading”
Thanks for the 2 suggestions. What to do now?..
