8/10/2025 removed “Hardman” and demos for “Here We Go”, “Say You’re Sorry” and “What He Say” since those have now been released on “Ultimate Rarest Trax!”

Some interesting information on other tracks has come to light from Jason Pettigrew’s excellent The Land of Rape and Honey 33 1/3 book. If you haven’t picked this up yet, you need to. It’s essential reading.

The book answers a lot of questions about an early draft of LORAH (then titled “Stigmata”) Wax Trax shared the below image on their Instragram some time ago, but now, there’s an official break down of these tracks.

  1. Stigmata (appears on the final version of LORAH)
  2. Abortive (appears on the final version of LORAH)
  3. Ingrate (Al nor Paul remember much about the track, but Paul thinks it might be an early version of “The Missing” or “Diety”)
  4. Apathy (appears on the first 1000 Homo DJ’s 12")
  5. The Idiot (appears on the first Lead Into Gold 12")
  6. See More Spine (a play on words on Sire Records’ Seymour Stein’. This is the same track as “Show Me Your Spine” but the tracklist above has Al noted on vocals and not Ogre)
  7. I’m Sick (confirmed from Al and Paul as being the basis for “Destruction”. It wasn’t mentioned if this is the same track as “Self Annoyed”)
  8. The Idiot (Version) (Al or Paul can’t recall what this version was, but is likely “Hatred” as this song and the “Idiot” share elements from an earlier track called “Thrill Kill Kult”)
  9. Blackened Heart (appears on the first Lead Into Gold 12")

The book also mentions a small section on an early incarnation of Twitch. Warner Bros. had an internal publication called the “The Guide” and the 1986 issue mentions Twitch including songs called “Twitching” (which is more than likely an early title of the song “Twitch”) and “The Children” (which Al has no recollection on, and is likely the track “Playground” which has the word “Children” in the lyrics)

There’s also mention of “We Believe” featuring an alternate bass line by Jah Wobble from PiL. I’m guessing this in the unique bass line featured in the live versions. The new version featured on “The Squirrely Years Revisited” has the bass line, and since the Twitch tracks are technically remixes from the source tapes, it very well could be Jah’s performance featured.
