Has anybody deciphered these lyrics yet? or figured out which song it is that she is singing?
I have a couple lyrics I could understand but I didn’t get anything when I plugged them into google.
Also has anybody else noticed that the DJ whispers something at :46 seconds into it and then he whispers something else at about :48 seconds. The :48 seconds whisper sounds a Little Like “I slept with her” then a bit after that he starts repeating summertime summertime in rhythm.

right now i hate you a lot grmpy.

after a few go rounds this mashed garbage is a rough draft/outline… I ain’t promising shit for accuracy as of yet. Some of it is dead on, and some i can’t make out her babble. Clearly it’s memorized or familiar to her (Linda), I have the feeling it’s an older song, showtune or something along that line based on a few of the lyrics.

You may hate me a lot… But I totally have complete respect for what you gathered after “a few spins”… it’s damn near the whole song and then when i realize my piddly little contribution took me about 30 minutes and is no where near job you did…[:(]. Respect, kid!

If you mean Let’s Get (Physical) the original version is on this cd. Also coincidentally it has the original LP/cassette version of Skinny Puppy’s Dig It which was never released elsewhere on cd.

I always thought it was Barker who was that voice at the end, takng the piss. The song comes up as ‘Everybody’ on my itunes. Does it read as ‘Linda Summertime’ for everyone else?

01 is from that compilation (which in fact had it in the form of vinyl rip) - that’s the best quality version and of course it’s truly lossless (not an mp3 transcode)
02 is from the single, it’s also a loop, but it differs from the BSQ album one.

Errmmm… maybe I’m confused…I have some single of Physical, not sure if it’s the LP or CD, but I thought the “let’s talk”… track was just 12 min of a few seconds of loop… ie. “PHYSICAL. TALK…” repeated for 12 min…

yes. both are loops and nothing else

for some reason there are two different versions of it

single version is 11-12 mins of “taaaaalk!” with “heavy” guitar;
bsq version is 6 mins of “taaaalk!” and single drum hit

never mind that anyway =)

the re-issue of BSQ has the 12" versions, so is the downloads here redundant? (i have the original BSQ on cd… but not the reissue)

remastered bsq DID NOT have original banned version of (let’s get) physical, contrary to what the liner notes said.

remastered 2cd YGDSOAB had 2 bonus tracks pulled from BSQRemixes single, stating they were from “glasgow” which in fact they were from meriville (iirc)

so revco remasters/rereleases were generally bad.

not to mention that Benign version of You Often Forget STILL remains unreleased on CD to this day.
