A recent rash of robberies has inflamed the indie rock community, striking bands when they are most vulnerable: on tour. Many of these crimes were committed in NYC leaving people to believe that the culprits reside somewhere in the area. Well look no longer. Rad Company scored an exclusive interview with the bandits of band equipment, the Limozeenz. We do not completely endorse their motives, but couldn’t turn down an opportunity to ask, “Why?”
S.G.H. - Yeah, and sometimes it’s people that we kind of like. We had to rob Jon Spencer back in ‘99 just because he’d been putting out bullshit joints for too long. Like the guy from Ministry; he’s long over due.

I call bullshit on this one.
But then again, I can think of numerous times that a band cancelled gigs or tours due to stolen equipment.
It is also possible that bands with enormous touring debts will pay these guys to steal to recoup the insurance money and pay of debt.
For one, their fucking idiots hiding behind an idea that what they are doing is complex and just.

S.M. - Really it’s about love. We fucking love music and we hate it when people fuck it up by putting out weak shit. Music is my religion and a shitty band is slap in my fucking face. I take it personally. Like fuck that punk bitch Antone Newcombe. Half the reason I moved from California was because of all the shitty bands out there, like Jonestown and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It’s all so fake. If you’re going to invoke all this evil persona bullshit, you better get ready to pay the piper, motherfucker. Fuck Antone Newcombe and all that boring psyche-rock shit. It’s all cliche and refried and hiding in the past.And then to have an ego like that. I know people like their rock stars to have an ego sometimes, but you need talent to back it up.
So basically these guy think that what they feel is good music - so should we. fuck um. I mean look at these tools.
Assuming that this is legit, then these fucks need to get the shit beat out of them. I’d be willing to bet most of these indie artists they’re ripping off are living on ramen noodles and t-shirt sales to survive. If the little douchebags really have some balls, let’s see them rip off Puff Daddy or 50 Cent (who make shitty music and could afford to be robbed anyway).
