I’m sure it’s a high-quality scarf. Grumpysmurf’s Santa hat was amazing.

God I wish he’d stop already!
I’m sure at some point I’ll pick up that stupid 3$ oriental trading company poker chip set with flask limited edition relapse cd for 60 bucks or however much it was.

It was 100 bucks.
But it was, you know, limited and stuff, so it’s probably gone up in value.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! I was just being sarcastic. I typed it in google thinking I’d find it listed for $20 or something.
Apparently this guy thinks it’s worth a little more than we do . . . .

So it’s the same CD as last year (limited to 365 copies) with a new scarf and the pick. The 2011 bundle is still listed (as is 2010). Is he just trying to offload those CD’s? Why not bundle them all together?
I noticed that the boxed Relapse set is back in stock. Still says limited to 2000 but it was “sold out” before the albums release. Has he done another run? Doesn’t really make it “limited” if he has.
Regarding there not being any classic-era Ministry . . .
I think this is primarily because of the bitterness between Al and the rest. I think he does whatever he can to avoid any royalties going to Barker or the rest. And I’m GUESSING that since so many of those songs were co-owned / written by Hermes Pan / Hypo Luxa or whatever, he probably cannot just remove and replace the basslines and send out a “newly enhanced” version to screw Barker (this is what Sharon did with some of the old Ozzy records to screw past musicians).

Maybe other distributors were tired of nobody buying them, and sent them back to 13th Planet for a refund.

Hahahahaha!!! It’s probably like those crappy Amway/Pyramid type companies where the distributors have to buy everything up front and when they can’t sell any of it they can return it for an 80% restocking fee.
These box sets have probably made thousands of dollars for 13th Planet and they’ll never actually even be purchased by a consumer.

What Al needs to do is finally release all the pre-twitch stuff. He’ll find that there is a higher demand for that than anything he’s released in the past 10 years.
Yeah, I’m with the Rev on this.
Certainly Mind, Rape, and Psalm could be money makers, but that discopop was really a dated sound. I ain’t knockin’ it, but I just don’t see people scrambling for it.
I am spectulating but a lot of it is just down to not getting sued. He can’t put out a live album/greatest hits/ANYTHING with Ministry material circa 1987-2003 on it, or he has to pay licensing and publishing fees.
It’s a lot of money. A lot of that stuff has been compromised on, like a remix collection (Rantology) or period pieces (Fix). I’m sure it was amicable for the former, nostalgia for the latter.
What I don’t for the life of me understand is why Al hasn’t put out any unreleased material he has performed/written. Early Trax and Twitch alone had a lot of “assistance” so to speak but none put out under Spurburn or other. There’s a wealth of unreleased material out there. I know it.
I don’t know about that. The people here would be interested, but would the general public? How well did Early Trax sell?
Not really sure. He did release Early Trax outside of his prime, and a good portion of it was a re-re-release, since the tracks were out as singles, then released on Twelve Inch Singles. I think a solid CD of never before heard songs would sell well, probably more than any of the mixxx or xmas cds.
