Someone convert it. The sound is killer! Although I swear I have heard it before…1992 era. Maybe this was the show Ipecac was gonna put out?

TY.

i think this is a lalapalosa show. they do supernaught with a guy from pearl jam and a dude from soundgarden. great recording.

was that rumor true about Al having someone else in his get-up playing a full show as him on that tour? i probably read it on here but figured it was bullshit. never heard Al or anyone mention it.

its not the silver Lollapalooza 92"

tracks aren’t the same and there’s tracks missing.

supernaut seemed to be played before just one fix and it’s toward the

end here.

Why did the Ipecac live albums never come out?

Why did the Ipecac live albums never come out?

I think Sire records interfered with that. I believe Sphinctour was one of those albums, which came out on Sanctuary. Al didn’t stick around with them for very long, so he never got around to the others.

I’m guessing Cleopatra would be the next option, that’s if Al still wants to put the rest out there.

I believe this is 7/22/92. I think that date was given out when it was originally put out there.

They never officially said, but I always got the impression it was a budget thing. They were set to release all 3, but then they were scrapped. My best guess is Warner demanded more fees for licensing than they had budgeted. Then Sanctuary ponied up the fees for one of them and they picked the 1996 tour, since it was more recent than 92, they already had a 92 tour disc of sorts, and even at that time none of them looked positively on the 99 tour. But that’s complete conjecture on my part. Could be completely off base.

the 99 shows are fucking great.

Yeah, but the band didn’t think so. They were a mess at that time.

might be also concerns of the setlist, too many repeating songs. the 99 typical setlist is basically same as 96 but with 3-4 songs swapped out for ones off DSOTS.

that plus before mentioned label losing interest, and maybe band losing interest as well. many factors, i guess?

Heard Al mention Seattle during stigmata in this live recording are we safe enough to say thats were this was recorded.
