Lead Into Gold - Idiot

I was wondering if anyone was in the position to share this? It’s only out on vinyl and i don’t have a record player…

Chicks & Speed: Futurism wouldn’t hurt either [laugh]

I have it, actually i have the entire blackouts/lead into gold disc. i just don’t know how to rip it from record to series of tubes

lord, check your pm

Wasn’t aware Chicks & Speed was on vinyl, but I know half of it is the “Idiot” EP.

I snagged both that and Age of Reason a couple years back for forty bucks. Money well spent.

Gila, think I could get one of those PMs. All i’ve ever heard was Age of Reason, I think.

Heres one from Chicks & Speed

Is there anything on the “Idiot” single that isn’t on Chicks & Speed?

Nope, 3 tracks only… Idiot, Hatred, and Blackened Heart. I happen to like the Chicks & Speed CD EP much more so than the album.

Yeah, the EP might be better than the album. Listening now. Good stuff.

Yep, the album has a lot of lead the EP is mostly all gold.

Voice of dissent here, but I prefer the album.

While overall I prefer the EPs I must say my favorite Lead Into Gold track is on the album Lunatic/Genius.

What I really like about the Lead Into Gold sound is that it is not like anything else in the Luxa/Pan discography. I get the sense of it being some sort of industrial colosseum music. The horns and plodding drum beats on some of the tracks make me think of ancient Rome, and gladiatorial arenas. Surely Caligula would have approved.

I stand with you buddy!

Agreed completely. The Ep is better overall (including a better version of Faster Than Light), but this one is the tops.

Hell, just put 'em together, kick out the album version of “Faster than Light,” and you’ve got the best CD ever.

That’s what I do.

alright I whipped this out for the first time in a long time and I like it a lot better these days (reminds me a bit of the better older ministry plus the 1000homo dj’s better ways)…anyhow…

getting to the heart of it, the track “fell from earth” starts out with either the same sounds (the orchestral stabs possibly bassline) as OR a slooowed down version of another LUXA/PAN production that iirc has Connelly on vocals…and for the life of me I can’t remember what it is…it’s killing me…it’s a revco track…maybe?..from LFG? that’s the only one I haven’t ripped to my eyepawed…so uh one of ya’ll must know…? help.

It could be Lead Into Gold’s ‘Fell From Heaven’ starts similar to Revolting Cocks’ ‘Dirt’ (from Linger Ficken Good)

^^ I bet that’s it I’ll have to check when I get home…but from memory I think you’re right, thanks!
