Lead Into Gold - Hatred (Live 5-1-87)

wait? eh, no problem man. appreciate the hook-up.

I found Ministry doing ‘Thrill Kill Kult’ live just after I posted originally, but this is what I was looking for.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the upload!

Lead into gold was a great project.

I’m waiting for more Barker solo stuff (the music from USSA is good but the singer doesn’t do it for me, he sounds sort of flat).

1002, you fucking rule.

Well, bisquitodoom rules, but thanks anyway!

Damned straight![:)]

where’s the video?

In my cupboard!

I know at least bisquit and dummkopf have it too, and they would be able to do much better rips than I.

Actualy speaking of vids, was it you special ed. with the live blackouts vid? You probably have some other visual goodies yeah?

Yep, I have a copy. Shame it’s not great quality, but it’s still very cool to see Barker behind the mic. If I can dig up my burned copy, I’ll put it up on youtube. Or at least Hatred. It’s definitely the highlight (along with the new version of All Day). Of course, the vid’s incomplete so there’s no way to tell what the rest of the setlist was on the 87 mini-tour. Rumor is there was a sped up version of The Angel and perhaps another Lead Into Gold song done live.

yeah too see it on youtube would be tits!

“i know nothing!”
(hogan’s heroes)

Listened to it about eight times over, and I noticed three particular things…

  1. Paul says “Here’s another new one…”

Hmmm… Maybe something off what would become LOR&H?

  1. The abscence of live bass. That REALLY threw me off the first listen, but I guess I like both approaches equally.

  2. The crowd seemed to really dig it. Hell, I would have, too. Makes me wonder what the LOR&H album would’ve been like with this number, as well as the other rejects (“Better Ways,” “Apathy,” maybe “Eyes of Christ,” etc.) on it.

Video would be so very cool.

Just scoped the tour archive, and it seems like they also played “Abortive” at this show, probably right before “Hatred.”

GOD, that would have been great.
