Hmm interesting. I will check this out since I’ll be living in NYC at the time. Have to make a note of it.

What kind of shit do they even play nowadays? I like their old old stuff where it was clanking, unnerving Industrial.

Then they were kind of like Rammstein for your eccentric crossbow-hunting grandfather.

(I know they came before Rammstein and influenced them etc.)

Yeah, I’m bummed about this. I live in Phoenix, and could catch the Hollywood show, but already have the weekend committed to something more important. Of course, if they’re continuing with the same set list as the beginning of this tour, I won’t feel too bad. The main set list is all Volk (which I don’t care for, it’s all national anthems re-imagined), with 2-3 ‘oldies’ (I think NATO is as far back as they go) in the encore. Now, if they came to my town, I’m there without question, I mean, it’s friggin’ Laibach. The shows in '89 and '97 were amazing.

NATO is awesome! the 2525 remake is gold! same with “in the Army” Hell that whole album is bad ass!

I don’t listen to NATO a whole lot, but Alle Gegen Alle is my favorite track on that one. Do you have the Videos DVD? quite excellent. The video for Tanz Mit Laibach is well done, and I want to bang the Germania out of that chic in the Across The Universe clip.

I’ve only listened to one complete Laibach album (also the only one I own), “Nova Akropola.” Good stuff on that one… Paranoid, angry, politicaly charged, spooky as hell.

Everything else I’ve listened to, like a couple off NATO, “Tanz Mit…,” etc. just doesn’t do too much for me.

Excellent song! I love the rhythm in his voice when he sings the actual “Alle Gegen Alle” part.

I had no idea there were videos!! Are there videos for all of the songs? Are they up on Youtube?

I used to try to get the Germania version of Sympathy For The Devil to take off as a club song when I djed, but nobody ever danced to it.

it sucks they aren’t doing a proper tour. last time they hit detroit (same night as skinny puppy for which they had a buy 1 ticket and get into both deal going on) i got sent out of town for work the night before. i assume seeing them now isn’t quite the same as catching them in the old days but i need to see them at some point.
