read about it there
the bible. i be there.
Agreed. It’s the bible, albeit a digitized Teutonic version.
A crying shame Ralf & Florian refuse to acknowledge any of their stunning albums pre-Authbahn. KW1, KW2, and Ralf & Florian (R&F in particular) are superb efforts that definitely give a hint of what was to come in a few years from KW.
And I absolutely love Tonefloat, their pre-Kraftwerk effort as “Organisation”. Fantastic trippin’ late 60s experimental Krautrock instrumentals!
Aargh. Don’t like it when bands (namely Sabbath and Devo) release all their remasters in box sets instead of letting the consumer have a cheaper option. I’m interested in hearing the differences; you have to turn the volume high on some of those albums, absolutely nothing wrong with the mixes themselves though imo. Man Machine is a classic any fan of electronic music should listen to at least once,
Actually kraftwerk are in the bible… it’s true, noah took klaus and Florian on the boat, with the monkeys and the elephants
read you bible
(sorry thinking of the state again)
If only Kraftwerk wrote the bible. There would be a lot less bullshit in it.
Kraftwerk are the best. Was sad to hear the tall guy left (is Florian his name). Saw them last year, one of the best gigs I’ve seen though the new guy they had kind of messed up during ‘Numbers’ which was a shame. I was not happy with him.
I wish i had seen kraftwerk live at some point. They’re one my list of bands left to see. Not too many left honestly that I’ve not gotten around to seeing live. I’m sure i’ll hear shit for this but i think a daft punk/kraftwerk show would be amazing. in the 80’s a devo/kraftwerk show would have been a sweet combo too.

i was so elated when i got to see them it was indescribable. i was fortunate enough to see them on one of their 4 stops on the last tour. amazing sound. they brought in a second pa set to put behind the audience they had surround sound. i never thought i would have been able to see them, and it was just as awesome as i thought it would be.
if i had to complain, is that they sounded exactly the same as they did on minimum/maximum, but i guess that is to be expected.
If you’re Kraftwerk fans and would like an insight into their beginnings etc I’d recommend reading this…
For the record, Electric Cafe is being reissued as its original title, Technopop. I’m curious to see if they include “Tour de France” as a bonus track, since it was originally intended to be the lead-off single from that album.

Well, Tour de France is another of the albums in the set, so technically, yes.
