KMFDM reunion...not for the 25th...

[b] it’d actually ruin the tour for the ‘other’ 25 people involved, so let’s not go there.
Not everybody working 6am-3am is interested in hearing about all spanish cheeses and diapers 24-7, along with added translatory trouble and withdrawals of ALL sorts.
I would think that, at this point, we shall, can, wiil and should, once and for all cut the crap and be content with the facts.
Neither of the ’ old ’ folks will be back, they’re just not wanted, needed or required.
period.

See, Sascha, I disagree. And that’s why I haven’t bought a KMFDM record in years.

I think he could have left the withdrawels part out and taken the higher (no pun intended) road. Why burn a bridge, especially when the bridge is the one who wrote the songs that basically are financing your current career the most (JJJ for example being in all those movies, 90210 reruns, etc.)

That bridge was burnt years ago.

For their relationship to be even remotely considered for a rebuild, S.K. and L.C.'s marriage would have to burn first.

how so?

Indeed. Sascha’s comment was really not necessary.

I’m sure Sascha himself is nothing but joy and sunshine to tour with…

I haven’t bought a KMFDM record since that MDFMK mess, though I may pick up Skold v.

I wonder how long until Sascha is on the outs with Timmy S?

Rumor has it that S.K. and R.W.'s relationship dissolved when a significant unpleasant event(s) occurred between R.W. and L.C. From the above quote, the animosity may have been building for quite some time. Assuming that you can get along without one of the two people who sing, who’s side would you choose: your wife’s or your annoying/disrespectful bandmate’s?

Cheese? Diapers?

Don’t even wanna know.

I interviewed Sascha for my college newspaper back in the 90s. What a twat. “I am like big child, I am always playing with the new stuff.” I couldn’t wait for the interview to be over.

I think sascha’s ego was badly damaged when Watts decided to not release Pigmartyr on KMFDMRecords. It was supposed to, it was built up, then it was pulled from the table. And ever since that, sascha’s words of raymond have yet to really be in any way positive. Sascha is a great musician/producer, but he comes off very “it’s my way or the highway”, thus explaining the process of the xtort album. And the only reason the current lineup is still probably together is because 1) one just so happens to be his wife and 2) no one’s mouthed off to him yet. It’s well noted he didn’t get along with En Esch at all, or Schulz in that matter.

Just seems like sascha is the type of person to hold a grudge over nothing.

Oddly, the other current members of KMFDM, Steve White, Jules Hodson, Andy Selway were Raymond Watts band in Pig from what I recall.

OK, now off to visit the family…

True. I kinda wish they’d get the axe though. Hardly anything creative has come out of kmfdm since 03. A few gems here and there, but that’s usually when it’s mainly sascha. My ideal lineup would go:

Sascha
Skold
Steve
Lucia (but in much more minimal doses).

I think the idea that they had a few set members and a revelving door really helped keep things interesting for a while. Then he went and married the backup singer as was poited out and things turned for the worse musically for some fans… I still like them… but that’s me.
I think ray just wanted to have some fun on the road and sascha was with the mrs. and had to be a good boy.
as far as if this vs skold cd sounds like mdfmk, that all depends on whether lucia is on it. But even if she is, skolds done alot since he left. he played with ohgr and manson, while sascha stuck to the ultraheavy beat.

Funnily I was going to point out as well that sascha kinda nicked ray’s band.
To bad the none of the old coment means no connelly guest vocals

that’s fucked off i believe s.k. is refering to pig’s latino ex wife (mexican cheese) and ray’s unhappiness about being on the road and away from his kid’s (diapers)i have not liked a single thing kmfdm has done since ray left he was the last link kmfdm had to the past , there last true lead singer and performer sacha as a live lead vox/band leader is like when you see a band and the drummer is on lead vox weird and boring i also beleive it was skold that ruined kmfdm with his “i cut myself” high schooler styled lyrics ,though he’s like 45, and pansy vocal style though i a;so think he’s an okay musician (tho shitty gtr player) i just hope he dose’nt become the new pig in kmfdm, he should have stayed in manson where he seemed to belong

Skold sucked hard in Manson. He was ok as a guest performer in KMFDM, not so much as a full member.

KMFDM dream lineup:

Sascha, En, Gunter, Raymond (Ogre, Chris C. and Skold can do guest vocals). Of course, that’s got about as much chance of happening as a return to the Al, Paul, Chris, Bill Ministry lineup.

I enjoyed skold’s contributions to kmfdm, except for the song “save me” which I considered emo. Other than that, he added some new character into the scene compared to what it was before (both of which were very good things). His songs especially on the mdfmk album were superb. No one here likes Now or Control? Torpedoes even? Skold made that album what it was imo.

Attak had that one emo-like moment from him, but it was a very good album and a very diverse line-up (Sascha, Skold, Lucia, Raymond, Rieflin, and the pig/kmfdm band).

I don’t really like the line-up of kmfdm much these days. The guitars are so repetive it hurts, and very recycled. Guenter and Esch had a play of making it work, but these guys are more for touring than anything else. And I kinda wish sascha would just give the three of them the scrap. Lucia is bearable at times, but there’s two much of her, and it’s fairly obvious she’s the gahan of the group (sings what sascha writes).

I can live without raymond, but i’d prefer his return. If not i’d be able to manage if he were actually releasing or even working on material. But for the new album i’m hoping less-band, less lucia, more sascha and skold. Hell, just scrap em’ all together and get sascha to make an album solo. He did that with money, and it’s one of my favorites.

KMFDM dream lineup:

Sascha, En, Gunter, Raymond

Add Sigrid Meyer, Jr. Blackmale and Morgan Adjei (RIP) to that and we’re in business.

Speaking of KMFDM members, anyone knows what became of Sintawadi Tamsjadi, the female vocalist on the “84-86” era material?

Think sascha posted something about her a few years ago, that he’s seen her since. There were a few female vox though so I may be getting them confused. But damn! It would be fucking awesome if Jr. Blackmale come back.

LAMINATED!

What did Jr. Blackmale do in the old albums? Did he play sax and sampler? I have a hard time figuring out who did what on everything up to UAIOE.
