Very good news and can’t wait. Comes out in June though, doesn’t it? That’s a good while away…damn. Seems good though.
Agreed. It’s a godsend for KMFDM fans like myself who got into the music WAY too late.
Good thing, too… I was about to shell out ten bucks for the “Money” single. And the alternate “Seig Seig” sounds tasty… I’ve got the biggest schoolboy crush on the WDYKD material.
i’ll be shelling out the cash at a local shop right the fuck away.
on another KMFDM note, anyone have any b-sides or possibly live shit that also had connelly on it?

Heheh… Same with me. Even though I have about a quarter of the first disc… still… damned yummy.
Concerning B-sides, don’t sweat. This is the first in a series of THREE two-disc compilations of singles, rarities, and unreleased stuff. Give it time, you’ll have your goods.
As for live stuff with Connelly… Can’t help you there.
I sold all my singles long ago. I’ll probably iTunes the track “Split” and a couple of the early mixes. I really loved the track “More & Faster” back in the day. I didn’t know who KMFDM was until I saw the video for it on the Wax Trax video sampler (volume two, in the pink box). I went to the store and ordered all their records the next day I was so impressed by them. As luck would have it “Naive” came out the same day so I got it on it’s release date.
Honestly, I’ve fallen out of touch with the band and the little I have come back to hasn’t held up well but I would be curious to hear “M&F” again. Maybe that will pull me back in.
One last note, I didn’t realize until many years later that the lyrics for many of my favorite KMFDM tracks (“M&F” “Don’t Blow Your Top” and a few others) were stolen line for line from Frank Zappa. I remember listening to the album “Overnight Sensation” and being blown away that they got away with it with very little fanfare…

Connelly’s only b-side was the remix “Rules (Reapplied)”. I don’t believe the band toured with XTORT, so I don’t think he ever played live with them.
However, if he’s still lurking on this board, he can of course correct me.
Connelly did. They didn’t tour for Xtort, but he did perform Rules with them while they were supporting Attak in 2002; it’s on their dvd. And most of the material on these discs are almost new to me. Only ones I know off the first disc is Naff Off and Rip The System (alas Agogo!).
It’s nice that they’re collecting everything in a neat, tidy little package, but I can’t help but shed a tear for the many (many) dollars I spent on KMFDM singles through the years. There must be thirty of those bastards hidden somewhere in my basement.
