all the pick and choose works via grapevine and whether or not you want to have someone better /younger/shorter/taller/prettier/smarter/dumber than you onstage.not so mysterious, but the barker name thrown in the mix could be fun. not to mention, wildly ironic.

how many bass players does it take to screw in a lightbulb.
heard an interview last night w/willie nelson where he talked about going on tour w/ray price EARLY in willie’s career and willie begged to get on the tour.midway through this tour, willie approached ray price and laughed and said something like how long did it take to figure out i wasn’t a bass player? ray price said fifteen minutes(or something like that).
bass players rule in some alternate smartass universe.
