Of course it’s been years since I’ve seen it and it might turn out to be a little too gory for me these days (my tolerance for violence in movies is a lot lower than it was in my teens).
Gore back then was fun though! It wasn’t the torture porn you see these days like in the awful Saw franchise or Hostel.
Evil Dead and Dead alive are great examples of the slapstick potential for gore.
For some reason I have never seen TCM2 after hearing bad reviews, but I bet I’d like it coming from a comedy angle. Plus it has Dennis Hopper, who’s portrayal of Frank Booth in “Blue Velvet” was one of the greatest comedic portrayals ever, IMO!
Awesometo see some fellow TCMII fans on this board! When I was a kid, before the film came out, we used to pass the abandoned amusement park where it was shot on the way to my grandparent’s house. It fascinated me.
