but al JUST SAID that he only had one album left in him, his Buck Satan album which he is working on right now…
bah…
i’ll be buying it anyway…
i just wish he would make up his mind. haha.
Al’s said a lot of things but I don’t recall him saying that… I think it was that Buck Satan was going to be the last album he’d be involved with period… Which will probably never happened, but I did see a cover of Buck Satan done by Lawton Outlaw.
Yeah he also said he had one more with Lard and was gonna resurrect Pailhead too. I’d love to hear a full length Pailhead album and this Buck Satan he’s been talking about for years. I mean Buck Satan will probably just be a bunch of country covers, but still. PUT THE SHIT OUT!!!

Heh, notice how Jordison is wearing that same kind of cop hat that Al used to wear and spitting towards the crowd like Al used to do.
All I gotta say is at this point I’d put more faith in Jordison that Al to put out a decent record, and I can’t stand slipnot. And Joey, if yer gonna record in Al’s studio you better bring in someone to produce the record besides Al because either the old man’s hearing is shot to shit or he just doesn’t give a fuck anymore.
Doesn’t surprise me Al wants to be involved in this, at this point the royalties he’d get from twisting a few knobs and playing a few power chords on a Jordison project would be much more than he’s making off of his lame Remixxx’o’bullshit-o" records.

You’re forever welcome

You know, chrome has this awesome function where you highlight a URL, right-click and “open link in new window”. Not as convenient as a mouse-click, but I love it!
Man, this is great I hope it’s real this time! I’m glad he dumped the synth record in favor of this. I wonder how much of it is new as he has been going on about it since '87 or so. There were song titles from '96 like '2,6,5,9=one" (Two people six inches five min. nine months equals one) “Tonite the needle let me down” (I doubt it given his lifestyle change since then) and that’s all i can remember off the top of my head, crazy that i remember that off the top!
Al says lots of stuff. I don’t believe any of it until I’m actually listening to the songs.
That said, I just said in another thread that Al needs to work with a real drummer again, so I hope this one actually happens.
the top rated comment on the youtube video is “best drummer alive”

…“spitting toward the crowd like al used too”…what else did al used to do? and which eye did al used to blink first when hes fisting that bitch ass wife of his?
the last time that hack was out on tour with ministry, all not some but all of the drums were on tape.
you will learn more from one ministry sound check than all the guessing bullshit that you hear spewing on this gay ass site…al does this al does that, al has done nothing but increse the use of tapes since "96.
'96 was the last true live ministry band.
you get to know this stuff when your not one of the idiots outside standing in line cluthing there tickets for dear life, and talking about how cool it will be when they open the doors…poor stupid fags…hah hah.
Did I just hear that reporter use the words “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” and “Slipknot” in the same sentence?
Someone please shoot me in the face. You can wake me up when they pull down the Elvis exhibit to make room for Erie Load.
Joey sucks. He looks like Taime Downe. And he was wretchedly awful on the RGB tour.
I’m not a Slipknot fan, but both times I’ve seen them, I couldn’t take my eyes off of Jordison. He beats the shit out of the drums and takes his sticks up higher than anyone else I’ve seen. Fucking beast. When I heard he was on drums for the RGB tour I was really excited, until I saw the show.
^
It’s funny you mention that, Mr. Face. I never followed Slipknot so didn’t really have an opinion of him but heard a bunch of people praising him so I was interested to see him. I can’t remember if this was early or late in the tour (whatever L.A. was) but I remember being disappointed not only at his technical shortcomings (screwing up some parts to the point where Al was visibly pissed at times) but moreso at how lackluster he seemed.
I love a drummer that just attacks and flails and really is exciting to watch. I’ve seen clips of drummers from bands I don’t even like (I’m thinking of Travis Barker now) that have impressed me with their style and attitude but at, least at the show I saw, Joey had neither.
Well, at least they have cover art for it (done a year and a half ago). Hopefully they don’t scrap it and let Cleo’s interns make a new one.
I’m not sure how much it really means that there’s a CD cover designed though, I mean, he’s been selling t-shirts now for about 6 years.
That’s a pretty sweet looking cover.
Too bad the niche for what I imagine Buck Satan to sound like has long ago been filled by the likes of Hank III and the guys on the Devil’s Ruin label.
HAHA! I don’t know what Devil’s Run is, but I remember when “Straight to Hell” came out my buddy laughed and said, “This is what Al Jourgensen WISHES he was, but will never be and it’s too late now.”
Following the somewhat recent rise of Hank III I started hearing murmuring and such that Al was going to work with Hank III for the Buck Satan project. I only heard recently, though, that Hank had apparently never even been contacted by Al.
The Rigor Mortis (Mike Scaccia and the gang) guys know him pretty well through Phil Anselmo and at one point Mike was saying he was messing around with some stuff with Hank. I’m guessing that Al just assumed he could just yell Hank’s name some morning when he felt like making a record (and using Hank’s name and talent to sell it) and III would come running.
There’s still a little secret place in my heart that holds out hope for this release (assuming it ever happens) but the other 99.99% of me says it’s going to be crap like everything else.
