too sad, (heart attack)
Long live uncle buck and the breakfast club!!

I absolutely detest The Breakfast Club and most of all the tripe he did w/Molly in it…
Though, he was involved in other films that to me are classic comedies…
Planes Trains and Automobiles
National Lampoon’s Vacation
Weird Science
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
and the underrated…
DUTCH!
I gotta tell you, I love the guy for those alone. And he also had cool soundtracks! (“Vacation” had the Ramones, “Weird Science” had Killing Joke, “Bueller” had both Yello and a Smiths cover)
I wonder will they play that Simple Minds song at his funeral.
‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ was pretty good from what I can remember.
and the underrated…
DUTCH!
Oh man he did dutch?!! Ed O’Neill was brilliant in that! “Nothing burps better than bacon! But your water looked good though!”
add Dutch to my list … call Breakfast club a guilty pleasure of mine. ferris and weird science were great too

Well, he had a hand in producing it, it sure as hell felt like a Hughes film all the way through imo.
Seems like he was a decent guy:

Wow. That was touching.
Let’s not forget that “Pretty In Pink” was shot at the Wax Trax! store on Lincoln Avenue.
brandtrax, do tell.
Not much to tell, really. I was just under the impression that all the record store interiors in the film were shot at the actual Wax Trax! store. Exteriors may have been done somewhere else.
Just found this while looking around for more information:

hughes was a a giant.
probably never made it into the actual store.
