I log into Spotify like once a month when I’m extremely bored of my own music library. Then they got their paywall bs if you want no ads and special features that should be free to begin with. Spotify fucking sucks nads. I can’t blame Rogan for taking the money but it’s not a good move for fans who loved the accessibility that Youtube provided.
Also no serious audiophile would use streaming platforms as their main source for music or video. Their playlists are fucking shit also
I haven’t listened to it since I stopped commuting to work. But that sucks now that it’s Spotify only. I liked my easy download in my podcast app on my iphone.
I wonder what Youtube and other streaming services do to keep other popular shows from jumping ship. They gotta do something right? They can’t be apathetic to this.
I’m sure Blockbuster was apathetic when Netlflix started gaining traction. How’d that turn out?
It has a free version but the mobile version of the free version is limited where you can only play albums/playlists on shuffle mode with limited skips. Should be fine for podcasts, which play long form without getting interrupted for ads from Spotify. The PC/PS4 free version let’s you listen to any full album/song you want and is a great way to check out albums. That version is a must for any music junkie. The free version quality isn’t spectacular but it isn’t terrible. I only ever noticed it was bad when I played the newest Sleep album on there and noticed the bass wasn’t rumbling like I was used to. I use Spotify for podcast listening on my PS4 and to check out albums and then I download what I liked from the interwebs for proper listening.
Thanks. I’ll give it a try once I get cut off from YouTube. I’m not an audiophile or anything, and I wouldn’t even be listening to music on it, so shitty quality is fine by me. I just listen on my phone while jogging.
Google Play’s playlists are vastly superior to Spotify. They’re specific to a fault. I have no problems finding proper Cuban Jazz, Synthwave, Afrobeat, Bolero, Experimental House playlists
I’d probably switch to Google if I hadn’t been using Spotify for years. I’ve made so many playlists I can’t imagine the hassle of trying to port them over
