Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck has died at the age of 78. Beck died on Tuesday (January 10) after “suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis”.
Jeff Beck’s Guitar Shop - love this one! so sad he’s gone.
Just saw that Jeff had passed.
Guitar Shop is a great one.
Guitar Shop had such cool cover art.
I used to have a poster of it on my wall when I was in high school.
I think he was one of the most innovative of them all…rip…
Yeah that Guitar Shop cover art was incredible…Terry Bozzio on drums…wow
Must see/hear jeff beck…live at ronnie scotts.
Pretty holy grailish.
Anyone who writes a song called CONSTIPATED DUCK is okay in my book.
I know he meant a huge hell of a lot to a great many people, but I could not see/hear the genius. I feel bad for his family and fans.
Yep,Constipated Duck hahaha…from the Blow by Blow record…I love that era of Beck…
That album pretty much defines my concept/understanding/image of Jeff Beck because I used to check out the CD from the library when I was in High School. I never really followed his career over the years, and while I also had some Yardbirds’ greatest hits collection, that stuff never hit me as Jeff Beck, per se, because I never knew if I was hearing Jeff or Jimmy… and it wasn’t wildly weird, funky, or experimental like some of his other stuff. Blow By Blow was just clearly one man’s showcase and let him do whatever the fuck he felt like doing.
Yeah that one and Wired go hand in hand…in fact, they are often sold as a dual pack cd …
Totally wasting your time on the commercial releases.
Live at ronnie scotts is the go-to by far.
And then you’ll see one of the greatest bass players that you’ve never heard of in your life.
The drummer is out of control as well.
Definitely one of the best trios out there that anyone here has ever seen/heard.
Good luck finding the blu ray or vinyl!
Yeah, Vinnie Colaiuta is pretty awesome!
