It's Always Christmas Time

This is worse than Hitler. I especially hate how I was forced to listen to it.

Quote of the day!

Holy crap, sometimes I think this site is why they invented the word “hater”.
I don’t think it’s bad. If I was his producer I’d tell him to drop the yelling vocals altogether as they make the track seem comedic. Other than that (and the Christmas theme - it’s very difficult to do a non-silly sounding contemporary Christmas song), I’ve got no problem with it at all. I look forward to hearing a full length release from the duo.

BTW, if anybody misses today’s stream, I’ve recorded it. The sound quality of a recorded myspace song is ass, obviously, but I’ll send it to anyone that wants to hear it.

Call me a hater - if you must.

But I hate it.

Passionately.

where do i check it out?

I really like Al’s lyrics for this song, I don’t think it is literally about Christmas.

As one of the “old timers” I think it is all right, certainly not as offensive to me as some of the stuff of recent years. At first I thought I was listening to a Cocteau Twins track, but I like that sort of guitar sound. I’m more of a Tones On Tail kinda guy than Peter Murphy’s post Bauhaus work, but Mark Thwaite has talent. Al needs to throw in a couple more "FABIO"s and we’re in business.

Wow, this is a ballsy move. And I like it. I’d be very excited to hear the entire album. For the first time since Filth Pig, I’d be listening for something new and different from Al.

Connelly certainly nailed it in an Onion interview he did a while back mentioning that Al has stopped pushing his boundaries over the years. This certainly is a curveball to the Nu Ministry fans of recent years and a return to the form of surprising his fans.

Kuddos to Al for making this move.

no

meh. and it’s almost 6 minutes. oh boy.

The song is GREAT hands down…The music is some of the best instrument work in a LONG time… it sounds like love and rockets to me…AL could of wrote more lyrics for the track…But all in all a great song im glad AL is showing his talent again instead of just screaming to a bunch of noise…Great job AL looking forward to the whole album…[:)]

Well I enjoyed it, maybe because I’m just desperate to hear Al do something different. I’ll probably end up hating this track. I really do love the guitar work though. Mark Thwaite has talent…definitely looking forward to hearing more.

i liked flock of seagulls’ version of "space age love song " better ,the first time i heard it (20 years ago). so is al getting a sweet double platinum mohawk to go with?
play both side by side and you’ll see the similarity.

That is the tune I was thinking of as well particularly when the first verse comes in.

Since when is 4:15 “almost 6 minutes”?

I really like the track… But the fact that it’s a Christmas song is well… Yeah. The vocal distortion on the singing voice is really nice… The screaming is Ministry haha. But I mean is this going to be “Al Jourgensen” or “Ministry”? That’d really be something if this CD was released as “Ministry”.

Hearing this track was like seeing the same black cat twice in the Matrix. There is a glitch. Something is wrong. I want out.

Wow…cheesy also comes to mind.

It’s basically a rip off of that song. I saw A Flock of Seagulls play last month (sadly the singer no longer sports the famous hairdo, just a knackered ponytail), it was a good laugh.

Space Age Rip Off by A Flock of Seagull Poo.

The next song could be ‘Wishing (I Had A Tune In My Head)’

Shame on you, Grmpy.

[:(]

I Figured you would hate it.
It’s got the sad feel that DSOTS has.
and Outtake meaning it DOESN’T make the ALBUM.
Late.
