YAH!

I thought he said GUILTY. That was horrendous

That was horrendous

Yeah, I’m gonna have to agree with you on this.

It was pretty fuckin funny at the same time if you don’t take it seriously.

EDIT: After watching it a second time I realize he looks like a scrawny version of Kimbo Slice

I’ve always liked the more dark and aggressive rappers. And rappers that use dirty glitchy beats (Spank Rock is really good for that). My one issue with death grips is that when it comes to his delivery he’s a one-trick pony. All he can do is shout at you. It works most of the time, but it gets monotonous. I won’t listen to Jay-Z because he never switches up his monotone-ass delivery.

Okay, here’s one more to run by you, not the same vibe at all, but honestly I don’t know why Chip ain’t the highest grossing rapper out there. Cat is fresh and clever. Dig him much more than his buddy Kid Cudi. MUUUUUCH more.

I’m not super huge into rap, just sussing out where everybody else stands on the genre. Anybody got any suggestions?

I’m no expert on the genre and not much of a fan in general, but things come along time-to-time that I dig . . .

Some that I can remember are:

DMX, Ice Cube, Ice-T, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, 2-Pac, Three-6 Mafia, Beastie Boys

Tyler The Creator is worth checking out. A lot of ppl are on his nuts right now but he’s acutally a bit artistic. Something hip hop has lost.

My favorite thing about this was the top-rated comment:

“Tyler who?”

It’s aight. Heavy in all the right spots. Checked out some more, and yeah, it’s all the damned same.

I loveloveLOVE old school, Def Jam-era hip hop/gangsta rap. Can’t quite deal with anything after about, oh, '99 or so. It’s all glitz, no guts.

Me and my homies listen to things like Immortal Technique and Beast 1333 a grip, too. I dig it, but for fuck’s sake, guys, we get that the world is a fucked up, corrupt, and evil place already. What the hell makes you HAPPY?

Hip hop hicks ass, but fuckin’ hell if anyone does it right anymore.

I guess I don’t like anything new either. I think of things like DMX and Jay-Z as new, but then I’ll realize that the songs I like are already 10+ years old.

Old Dre and Snoop is cool too.

True.

Any rapper worth his salt is going to start a track with:

“Aaaaahhhhhhhh yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh!!! [Insert band name here]! [Insert current year here] MUTHAF***AHS!!!”

LMAO IT’S SO TRUE!

2pac was the shit. I like Ice Cube too. I dig what I’ve heard of Tyler the Creator, but my gf throws a fit any time she hears anything about him. The homophobia really offends her. There’s a funny or die skit where Odd Future gets signed that cracked me up: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/ee0a63a6be/odd-future-gets-signed It’s a little rapey?

Okay, how about:
