isle of man/where you at now?

THANKyou for this song! As I said… anything from the Twitch era or before is worth gold!

You’re certainly welcome. And as a note for long-time board members, this version is ripped from the recently uncovered pre-broadcast version of the show. When it originally went up for download, it was ripped from my ancient cassette version of the FM broadcast. This one’s from the same version of the show as My Possession, and is pretty sweet sounding.

hope to see full show shared on dime or whatever as a big present on christmas

The entire concert, with the exception of No Devotion, was included as part of the “Updated Rarities Torrent” that Bisquit shared awhile back (thank you again). I understand why it was ommitted (No Devotion from June show had already been shared), but perhaps we could have it as a bonus sometime? [;)]

no way!!! ???

Wow Bisquit, this is one of the best songs you’ve posted in ages!

I always thought Isle of Man was an underrated classic and this is a great version.

I still have yet to hear a live version of “Over the Shoulder”. I just can’t imagine Al singing the way he did in the studio on-stage for that one. Has anyone ever asked him about his voice on “Over the Shoulder”? Was it an attempt to sound like Cabaret Voltaire or Prince? In any event, something tells me that the electro-industrial sound is still in his veins. I just he will let it surface again some day. And yes, I agree that “Isle of Man” is heavily underrated (just as is The Angel). If Al actually did move to Europe in 1986, I’m sure the music he makes today would still ring along the same lines as Twitch, with a much more modern sound. Perhaps something like Massive Attack’s album “Mezzanine”. Very dark, very trippy with cool electronic sounds. Oh well… that’s not how history unfolded. Excuse my going off into a tangent. Once again, thankyou Bisquitodoom!

“Isle of Man” live is outstanding. I gather that is Patty on backing vocals.

Al was ahead of his time with the natural resources / global warming thing. Another famous Al should have used this track for his “An Inconvenient Truth” movie.

Here ya go. Link good for one week or whatever, then I’ll remove it…this is the Revolting Cocks covering Over The Shoulder live on New Year’s Eve, 1987. Recorded at Medusa’s in Chicago…cheers.

yep, they also did “we believe” on that night. basically at that time revco was totally equal to ministry by band members, the same thing.
