but I’m getting hyper linked words in user’s posts that link to advertisements…
for example on wempathy’s arista thread the word “power” (looks like it’s doing it to me now) is hyper linked and you put your mouse over it and a balloon ad for shit the power companies don’t want you to know pops up take you mouse off of the hyper link and it goes away.
anybody else getting this?

I get those annoying ad links all the time. Usually from crap I download. And ad blocker does nothing about it. But yea a quick uninstall makes it go away. You might want to do that yourself, disabling it won’t wipe it off your computer, need to completely uninstall.

If all it is is advertising I’m ok with it staying there since it’s off. I only have the one extension. which is why I know it came from freecorder.
I have free tech service from norton so if I have to have a tech walk me through cleaning out the registry I’ll do that.

malwarebytes, know it, learn it, love it.
I used AVG and tried another free one (which I can’t remember the name of) on my PC for forever and it worked so much better than that fucking Norton shit or any other bullfuck that you pay for.
A long time ago when I had Norton I found that it did fuck all except slow down my computer.

Yes it is. But, much like clicking/dicking around unprotected into areas of the internet it dare not mention…you might get infected.
Then get malewarebytes and avg, grumpy. Nothing more frustrating and obnoxious than a virus ridden PC.

Luckily on my Macbook Pro I haven’t had any viruses. Not gonna be part of the elite Mac group that claims that Macs don’t get viruses though. Because they do.
