Irene

Everyone’s going crazy about this Hurricane.

It’s hitting me late Saturday night into Sunday.

GEEZ!!! That thing is ginormous! It’s so weird that it’s going so far north. Florida and South Carolina are expected every year, but this thing is tearing the entire East Coast a new one.

Warm wishes and prayers for safety for all you cats on the East. Hopefully it’ll fizzle out and be a Y2K style buzzkill. Stay safe.

All the best,
Gunnar

Stack up on some agua and batterias unless you have a generator man, good luck and stay safe.

That looks like a beast of a storm, glad I got out of there before that bitch rolled in.

When I was in D.C. I worked with an Italian girl named Irene (pronounced: ih-rain-ay); man she was delightful, just gorgeous and a sweetheart, but alas married. Brings back memories.

Stay safe east coasters. Weather that bitch out.

you should have nothing to worry about Fox is reporting that irene won’t touch the east coast.

stoked.

i enjoyed frusciantes work on dave gahans album. I hear he is the biggest dm fan around

buahahah…wrong thread

Are you prepared?
I’m going to strongly suggest that if you are located in an evacuation area, that you evacuate and not try to ride it out.

I lived on the island when Jeanne, Francis, and Charlie rolled through town in 2004.

On Thursday afternoon, we had strong winds and sporadic rain from the feeder bands out on the coast. It would rain in sheets for 30 seconds, then it would rain sideways for 10 seconds, and then it would stop all together.

I had a feeder band cell over my house this morning that dumped a boat load of rain.

I gotta say, killer name for a hurricane.

It’s gonna be a wet one today. Gonna be pulling an all nighter, for sure.

how you manage to bring a weather story to a liberal vs conservative point is quite ______________.

Just saying.

they ran the ticker that said Irene to miss the east coast.

That has nothing to do, really, with Liberal vs. conservative. It has everything to do with poor reporting.

probably a little bit of progress though that people automatically think Conservative when they hear the fox name though.

Basically just missed us. Some rain & a lot of wind. NYC probably got hit a little harder.

Not really. Staten Island got fucked, flooding in the lowest points by a few feet.

Lower Brooklyn (Sheepshead) got no flooding, but it was nasty and the Bay almost went over the rails. I slept through it - should tell you how exciting it was.
