how does one die from caffeine?
how does one die from caffeine?
You shoot it up. You then die.
This will also answer your question…
Before I ended my nicotine addiction, I started smoking natural tobacco to ween myself off the chemical cigarettes made by Big Tobacco. Even while smoking natural cigs, my body did act a bit odd as it was ridding itself from the chemicals. But nicotine itself is not a bad drug to be addicted to - it’s out of your body in 72 hours. After 6 hours of not smoking, you are 97% nicotine free, which is why I don’t think cigarettes are as much of a physical addiction as a psychological one. Who ever wakes up from sleeping due to a nicotine fit? None,
Which is why when people say weed is not addictive, I don’t think this is true. Of course it can be addictive. I know quite a few who are constant pot heads.
I can’t smoke weed without throwing up now, used to smoke a lot years ago but haven’t for a long time.
My drugs of choice are nicotine and caffiene.
I will give up one of them someday…
i smoke cigs. bout a half-a-pack a day, maybe a little more. i also started “late”. i didn’t start smoking till i was about 21.
i also never drank until i was 21. Started bartending at 20. Kinda picked up those habbits then.
But, i can tell you that drinking (from my experience) is much more dangerous than smoking pot.
pot should’ve been legalized and regulated a long time ago.
that, unfortunately, will not happen any time soon.
don’t forget that the tar content is from just the marijuana… you gotta add in the tar you get from the blunt or whatever cigar you use, if you are prone to such a method.
I started smoking cigarettes (largely thanks to an irresponsible family member) when I was 13. I stopped about a year later because I couldnt afford it and was pissing people off bumming smokes off them the whole time. Only smoked to try and be cool because cigarettes are so unrewarding in every other way.
Started on the hashish when I was 15 just to see what it was like. Smoked a bit here and there for a few years but when I was 18 and smoking it heavier than before it started to turn on me. Mild depression and an anxiety attack, so stopped completely. However in hindsight I may have had those things anyway, not sure it was because of the hash. For the past few years I have smoked a little here and there (5-6 times a year) and its ok, though no negative after effects no real enjoyment either.
Ive seen people smoke it heavily for years and they are not really different from what they were like before they started. Ive seen others as well who have basically melted their brain [one guy, who is about 25 now, completely wigged out and has gotten really fat and has the mind of a 10 year old now (though he may have been taking LSD, never found out)]
Its up to the individual; some can hack it, others cant.
Just remembered was in Berlin a few weeks ago and bought a pack of Lucky Strikes in a techno club and smoked the whole pack there. Absolutely fucking disgusting. Was obviously scuttered when I was doing it, because there is no other excuse.
Al smokes Lucky Strikes.
lucky strikes huh? there must be a joke in there somewhere.
That’s awful - how old is he?
maybe the smoking made your friend ill. maybe not. other environmental things can do you in too,but smoking doesn’t help.
that’s tough.
ed be lightin’ a little candle for your buddy.
Just found out Friday that my friend has lung cancer. He smokes.
Jesus. That’s horrible.
That is horrible and I am sorry to hear that.
For the smokers of the different kind, there are vaporizers on the market which will cut out all the tar and other junk.
I don’t smoke cigs, until I’ve had a couple drinks down me, then I’m bumming smokes, or walking to the QT for a pack that will sit it my cabinet until the next time I drink.
Smoking pot is god given. I truly believe that. I smoke for nearly every concert I go to, I smoke sometimes when I’m making my own music, or any other artistic medium. It’s just like everything else in life, it should be used in moderation. To me, moderation is 2-4 week. Only the super dank shit though. None of that mexican brick.
i have a friend who’s life long pot smoker and claims it helps with early onset alzheimer’s.
HEY, maybe mccain should start smokin’ weed.
bummer. just found out my friend died while going through email I received while on vacation. carpe diem my friends. it doesn’t last.
Goddamn. Bummer, indeed. My condolences, holmes.
I smoke 3 or 4 cigarettes a day generally.
At the moment though, I am smoking NONE. I will smoke lightly and ‘socially’ (ha ha…what a contradiction that term is) for six months or so then I quit COMPLETELY for a year or two. Then I smoke for six months…etc etc.
At the moment I am going through my QUIT phase. This will last at least another year. I go to the gym three times a week and I can’t smoke and do that.
As for pot - NO WAY! It makes me paranoid and gives me severe panic attacks. I had a very frighteneing attack 7 or 8 years ago and haven’t touched it since. I don’t know what happened - I suddenly felt intensely afraid and was convinced I was about to die. I think I sweated off about a third of my body weight and almost swallowed my tongue. If I live to be 100 I never want to experience that ever again. I’m guessing it was MILD drug induced psychosis. And if that was mild then I don’t want to be around when a severe one hits. It seemed like a million thoughts were buzzing round inside my head all at once and I wanted to scream and rip my head open to let them all out. At one point I wet myself and didn’t realise I had done so until about 5 hours later. When I realised what had happened I stripped nude and curled in a ball on my bedroom floor while time and space warped around me - all the while my heart thudding in my chest like an uzi.
It was nearly three days before I emerged from my room - completely white with black circles under my eyes.
And I was never a heavy smoker. So much for the ‘pot is harmless’ arguments.
With pot it depends on the individual and because of that pro-pot people/org’s or whatever should not come out and say its harmless in a general sphere. I wouldn’t be for the legalisation of it, except for people that it can be proved helps with an ailment they have i.e. medicinal marijuana., but maybe that is not so straightforward either.
Sorry to hear about your friend carmangary.
drinking is more fun anyways.
