When it comes to Albini, I just stay committed to hasty judgement and my own opinion of “facts.” I’ve read a bunch of his comments about people or bands “selling out.” Which always reminds me he produced a damn Bush album. What a jerk.
He didn’t produce it. He recorded it. He’s an engineer.
Plus he gets a flat fee for doing the record. No royalties.

Look, I just like making fun of him. For the sole reason that it makes ME laugh. I know some dudes that recorded with him 5-6 years ago and said he was a cool dude.

His crazy weirdness is a what I like so much about his stuff. I dig the most recent Shellac album (“Dude Incredible”) a lot.
