Yeah… there’s something to be said for just putting yourself out there and going for it. But the reality is… and I truly, truly hate to sound like a cunt, but some people just haven’t got a hope in hell.
So, I can’t knock internet dating. Hell, even if you’ve got the goods, some just don’t seem to be able to go out there and get what they want for whatever reason. It’s funny, coz I had a mate all through high school who was good looking, well cut, and even though he annoyed the fuck out of me, chicks seemed to really like his personality. Yet, he’d pack up whenever he seemed within a hair’s breadth of getting lucky. By contrast, I had another acquaintance who was a real cunt of a bloke, looked like Chief Wiggum, but still seemed to reel them in by making them laugh while treating them like crap.
Went off on a tangent there… but I think those dating sites, yeah, the quality’s pretty rank, but if it means those people are happy with what they get, then whatever. All power to them. I gotta admit, the ‘finding attractive men’ part really is a fucking laugh [crazy]
