Well after all the low hopes I had for this tour I was surprised that I enjoyed it half as much as I did. Just one fix was the best song of the night in my opinion. Bell sang that song like I never tought it could be sung. I was pretty pissed before knowing that al was so lazy not to even sing the classics that got him where he is but in a way bell brought new life to the songs.
The new revco songs sound awesome! I really cant wait to hear the new album. I met Sin very briefly. Hey was very polite and got really happy when i told him he did a nice job on the recent cd. Also Billy Gibbons (“The King of Texas” as they were calling him all night) was there too. He didntg perform with them but did go on stage and give Al a hug and watched the show for a bit.
It was a cool show for what it was. It clocked in at around two hours. The new stuff sounded pretty good, the old stuff was way more heavy then the last two tours and the covers were okay. The best of the covers was totally under my thumb. If I had to rate the last three tours I would say that it’s the second best behind the evil doer tour. The Masterbatour was all about Revco!
i was going into the show on the negative side from the setlists but the show was an absolute blast and by the end of the night it didn’t even matter to me anymore. sin was very nice and i got to meet al after the show. he was wasted and highly entertaining.
new revco did sound amazing. wasn’t that the music for the awesome blue light intro?
anyway, if you’re skeptical about going to a show from the setlists and negativity, JUST GO. you won’t regret it.
Yeah, I completely changed my mind when I saw them Wednesday. This show was better with a bad set list than the masterbatour was with a way better setlist. Senor Peligro is crushing live. I’ve never seen someone spit and smoke as many cigs as Al did. I would now (yes I know I bitched A LOT about the set list) recommend this show to any Ministry fan new or old. It kind of made me realize that Ministry always changed and so why did I get my panties in a wad when they changed again? I still think the press release was bullshit, but it wasn’t a bad way to see Ministry off, like I thought it was going to be.

I don’t think Ministry changed anything in the last 3 years.
I’d even like the trash metal era of Ministry, if it consisted of only 1 or 2 albums, and they had really changed their style afterwards.
Just like they did all the years before, with every single record. That is what made me a Ministry fan.
So long Ministry!! I made it to the last Ministry’s show in Houston. It blew me away as always! I had not listened to the new record “The Last Sucker” man it was political alright. It somehow gets the message across, really cool stuff though. Al Jourgensen still has it, talented guy, really creative. I’m not sure why they are calling it quits but I’m sure he’s got a shit load of projects going. The freaking guitars just kept up going and going and going, same with the drums and keyboards, great rhythm, that’s what I like about their music. One thing I wished they had was the second drum set like in the past that could have been great. I was at the rail and met really true Ministry fans cool people. I thought the rail was going down when they came out. They started with the songs of the new album, amazing stuff, then they took a quick break, and they came back and played songs from the previous records. The ones I remember “So What”, “Just one Fix” “Thieves” these songs did it!! I was pumped, every body was jumping and singing, the entire place seemed that was shaking lol. A nice twist to these songs was the appearance of Burton Bell from Fear factory. He did a good job. It was fun! Later then they came back with an encore doing cover songs, they did “Under my Thumb” (Rolling Stones). It was neat a new concept of cover songs… We got a pick from the lead guitarist (RevCo member) and there was a young lady with her mom (cool mom hi! Sarah) next to us that he also personally handed her a guitar pick. It was neat. I really enjoyed the gig “it kicked ass”. After the show we took pictures with the members and got autographs. They will probably comeback again but as the RevCo guys; well hopefully that’s what they told us. Good times. Ok hasta la vista… [:)]
