i just listened to this since ‘04 and houses is a good fuckin’ record . it has all the mike scaccia goodness that made psalm awesome but also alot of variation like ‘world’ ‘wk?" i know the name of the record sucks (i think it would have been better as just houses of the mole ) and the every song with w’ gimmick is stupid, but it’s def. the best of the trilogy and i would put it in a top 4, along with twitch/psalm/lorah, to use to introduce someone who’s unfamiliar with ministry to ministry no one ever talks about the post-barker records in a good light here it seems, but what do you guy’s think?

oh i’m the only one when the name was first posted and it was thought to be ‘houses of the mole’ who thought it was kinda cool ? come on animositisomina really…personally i thought darkside of the spoon was the best one of the witty names they came out with. and what imeant as far as the 4 i mentioned was for someone new to the band hence no filth/spoon, those are for the hardcore i think

I thought it was Houses of the Mole as well at first until Al explained it in an interview, and the whole oil/mole’ analogy.
Houses of the Mole sounds like the name of some sort of ambient noise band. Cryptic and mysterious.
As far as the ‘witty’ titles go, I think the Tapes Of Wrath is my favorite. If I remember correctly this was originally going to be the title of Psalm 69, and was dusted off later for the DVD.
House’s is definately the best of the Bush trilogy as it actually has a few songs that sound like Ministry.
I think I’ve said that before…
houses is a great album. it’s just the lyrics which are scheizenhausen. really scheizen.
didn’t mind the W gimmick… that sort of subtlety is better than being beaten over the head with the lyrics. they weren’t all about bush at least, but they were just so BLUNT.
I don’t think it’s a GREAT album - it loses its mojo towards the end, but all three Bush albums did that.
The return of samples and keyboards was quite welcome and it also benefits from being the Bush trilogy album with the fewest songs about Bush.
